Never get another flat tire!
I ride my bike daily and have had my share of flat tires, from road debris, failed valve stems, goatheads, and several other causes. This is even with heavy duty inner tubes and tire liners. I carry a compact tool kit and an extra inner tube, but it is always a big inconvenience to get a flat tire, especially if I am far enough from home that I have to fix it on the road rather than push the bike home. So I ordered these tubes for my daily commuter bike so that I would never have to fix a flat again, at least on this bike. I read a great many reviews on these and other tubes, and I watched video reviews on Amazon as well as other web sites. I found the video review here on Amazon, for the yellow version of this same tire, to be the most helpful. So I knew these would probably be difficult to install, but I thought I could do it, and the extra work would be worth it, to never get another flat tire. My bike has 700c tires, and I have two sets of tires, 700 x 38, and 700 x 40. So I ordered these orange tubes in 700 x 38. The tires arrived and they are a few centimeters larger than the rims, as some other reviewers pictures show. This was ok, these are the correct size. The first thing I tried was to install these with the 700 x 38 tires. No way, no how was this ever going to work. I’m a little stubborn and I tried for about an hour. I used several different methods that I had seen in the videos. I used zip ties, screwdrivers, and a lot of force. The 700 x 38 tires were just too small for these 700 x 38 tubes. So I took those off and used my 700 x 40 tires, and these were perfect. I put the tire on first, with one side open, then tucked in the tube, then used a few zip ties and two small flathead screwdrivers to seat the tube in on this side. Using this method with the larger tire, the first tire tire took me about 30 minutes, and then having done that tire, the second took about 20 minutes. The tires were tight and firm, and it was then easy to mount the finished tires on my bike. The tires are heavier, as expected, than tires with air-filled inner tubes. Then I went riding. The bike is now slightly more work to peddle, but this is not really a problem. If I gear down by one gear, the work of peddling is the same. I have a heavy steel framed bike anyway, and these are not racing tires. I just get a little bit better of a workout if I want to peddle fast with these tires. I found the ride smooth and comfortable, and the bike corners fine at the medium speed that I ride. Overall, the installation work is worth it to me. These are good for anyone with the same issues that I have and not wanting to have to fix flats, but they are a challenge to install and I would have been really frustrated if I didn’t have the correct tire size on hand. Now that all the work is behind me, I’m glad to have these.

Worth it
Okay so not only are these super neat conceptually, but today after having them on for about a week or two, I ran over a piece of metal. After my ride I see it sticking directly out of the center of my tire, and as we all know slime would only be able to do so much. It's a HUGE relief knowing I can use my bike and just tick a point of failure off of the list. Yes they're hard to install, but what in life isn't worth putting in more effort for? You'll /definitely/ see results if you're thinking about it.

Very hard! But no flats
This insert is on the difficult end for install. It is also very hard, greater than 60 psi in a tube. This was installed on a kids bike which makes things pretty jarring for. Anything but smooth terrain. I may take it off and drill holes through it to soften it up some.

Installed on the wood cart.
Normally my brother overloads the wood cart and lugs it up the stairs to the house. Usually after a load or two the beads would be unseated and the inner tube got pinched and would pop. Then he would just roll it on the rims tearing up the deck and the tires! These fixed that. They're still are holding up and I haven't heard any complaints.

Tire noise
Insert works great no more goat heads, but when riding tire sounds like someone chewing on rubber bands with a squishy squeaky sound. Other wise great.

Works
Not hard to install and now the kids can ride anywhere. Great purchase!

Smaller than an inflated tube, but it works
Needed this for a running stroller. Couldnt find the goop-filled kind in this size, so I splurged foe this instead. It is quite a bit smaller inside the tire, so there is a bit of looseness that seems problematic. Fortunately the stroller works just fine with it. The front wheel seems to work correctly both walking and jogging.

Works Great – After You Can Get Them On
I bought these for my Burley Travoy bike trailer. I live in a desert area and was worried about flats, so I bought these inserts. They were a MAJOR pain to get on. You'll need tire levers, elbow grease, and some patience. Now that they're on the trailer, they work great, and I have peace of mind that I won't get a flat. The fact that they were a pain to install also means that they're not going to come off any time soon. The tires feel nice and solid.
