Better than expected

Fit Perfect, feels nice, looks better. The buttons are made of actual metal which was a present surprise. had it been plastic it would of felt super cheap. It also came with a cosmetic belt that wraps around your shoulder and then has 2 small straps that wrap around your waist. If you ware it right it will look really nice. Just dont put any actual weight on it its very flimsy. one thing worth noting is the tan undershirt that come attached is really only a front piece. so if you look from the front you can see the tan shirt hanging slightly below the vest but the back side is just bare. so if you plan to ware this with no undershirt it may be slightly small in the back as the actual vest portion isnt as long as the tan undershirt. Luckly for me i planed to ware a black undershirt with this and it looks great. likely the biggest complaint i have is the tag is to freaking long. but hey scissors are made for a reason

Great! Little cheap on the shirt, but it looks pretty good. Works for a generic medieval look that you won't mind getting muddy or rained on at a faire. The belt is a nice touch, but that's about all expect to have to put some glue and stuff to make it work right. The boots look great but I couldn't get the strap to work on the bottom, and they have no mechanism to keep them covering the calves, which destroys the illusion of looking like a boot. I ended up using some safety pins to pin them up on my pants. Works for the price tho

As other reviews have noted, the shirt and vest are a single piece. The shirt material is quite cheap feeling/looking (especially the seam along the chest), but the vest is fairly good quality. I took a few minutes and cut the shirt and vest apart with scissors and wore the vest with a better quality shirt I bought elsewhere on Amazon and it looked great. Metal buttons on the vest are a plus.

If you're over 6', forget it...

I am 6'2 and a slim/average build. I bought this for a daddy/daughter dance where my daughter was going as Rapunzel so that I could be Flynn Rider. The front is long enough, but the back barely covered by waist-line (this was an XL). The quality is okay, certainly as good as you would expect for an inexpensive costume. I'd add a star if the length was appropriate -- but getting any larger of a size and I'd have been swimming in it (I already was in the XL!).

Better than expected.

Better than I thought. The shirt is well made except for the stitching on the buttons, but I quickly added some heavy duty thread and now they won't ever come off. It came with some sort of belt thing, not sure what it is but it is super cheep and I don't plan on using it, but it was a bonus none the less. If I needed another I would easily order again.

Runs small

This is quite expensive for only getting the shirt. I didnt read the description and thought for the price, it would be a full costume. Gets the job done with a pair of black pants though. Runs really small though. Buy a size up.

Nice but not a great value

Thankful to have found this costume because finding a costume in June can be a real challenge! The costume was exactly what we needed, but it was a bit expensive for just a shirt/vest and belt. If it came with more or costed less then I would have rated it 5 stars. We needed it for school so we elected to just buy it instead of making something.

Works great (with alterations)

It is a costume, so maybe I expected to much. The shirt sleeves were to short for my adult sized kid, so we cut them down and he wore a long sleeved shirt underneath it. Either way, you'll want to wear a shirt under, as it is kinda rough and scratchy. But hey, multiple layers goes with the costume. Functional for a couple of uses. If you need it for more than that, start stealing from Captain Jack. AAARRRGGGGHHH

Very poor quality and expensive for just a jacket.

The belt is extremely poor quality and the jacket is not much better. I returned this item immediately.
