Accuracy at a great value
For the average Do-It-Yourself person, Irwin tools are perhaps the best value hand tools that you could purchase and use. World Class quality is the corporation's goal and when I have the option to choose a product, I defer to IRWIN.

I like that it is all metal and having inherited using my grandfather's old shop and other family tools, the drill press had bits all over. Then I got handfuls of drill bits at an estate sale and needed to get organized. This helped the basic sorting of bits in silverware trays and finding the proper size for when I needed to do machining. Whether it is for an easy out, helicoil, or tapping to thread, I can find the right bit called for the task. I have one hung from a magnet hook on the drill press.

The white labeling is pretty much useless
There isn't a lot to say about this thing. It's a piece of sheet metal with a bunch of different sized holes in it. You stick your bit in the smallest hole it will fit through and that tells you the size. Simple. It's thick enough that it should stand up to being tossed around. The hole sizes seem accurate enough. The only real complaint is the white lettering on the one side. I'm over 50 and my eyesight isn't that great any more. The contrast of the white on black is the easiest to read. However, as I was looking at it one day, I noticed part of the white numbers were obscured. Of course my first instinct was to rub my thumb over it to see if maybe it was just dirt...and the rest of the number disappeared! I tried another, and it wiped off too! Whatever paint they used for the white has about as much adhesion as a dry erase marker. Half the numbers are now gone just from normal handling. The good news though, and the only reason I am not sending it back, is that on the other side the numbers are embossed in to the metal so they can't rub off. So at least it's still functional and won't eventually become worthless. The only disadvantage is that the embossed numbers are harder to read. I was thinking I might be able to dab some white paint in to them and wipe it off to leave it only in the indentations, but I haven't tried yet. So overall, it does what is intended. I'm just not sure what they were thinking with the paint though. I almost sent it back before I noticed the embossed info on the back. Surely they could have found something that would stick better. Other than that, a handy item to have in the toolbox since my "old" eyes don't stand a chance trying to read the numbers they put on the drill bit shanks that inevitably get smeared off when it slips in the chuck...

Good price for a nice tool
Was a good value. Had plastic gauges that continued to crack, this item seems like it will last.

The printed sizes rub off over time but you can still use it
I am reviewing almost exactly 2 years after I bought one. In general this is an excellent tool and one I use almost every day in my shop (mostly woodworking but some metalwork as well). I glued a small magnet to the top over the hanger hole and it sits on the side of my metal tool cabinet just a few inches away from my drill press. The only fail is the white size markings on one side have slowly rubbed off, BUT the same size markings are on the other side stamped into the metal so they will be there forever. No real problem - I just always use the stamped side. I use this for diameter sizing of everything - for example to check sizes of old dowels pulled out of a piece being restored, bolt sizes for my misc hardware junk drawer, etc etc. I never realized how often I check the diameter of things until I got this rig. One of the handiest things is when I break a drill bit, and I go to my stash of spare drill bits to find a replacement. It's so easy to size correctly and continue on working. All in all a great product.

Excelente producto
Excelente producto, tal cual en la foto, no le puse 5* solo por que tiene un detalle, las letras blancas son fáciles de borrar, por lo que tuve que ponerle una capa de barniz transparente para que duren más y no se borren. En la parte posterior vienen troqueladas las medidas en SAE, y al frente impreso SAE y Métrico, hubiera sido excelente que fuera troquelado por ambos lados, es decir SAE de un lado y Métrico del otro.

Solid steel - painted numbers
This item is made from a strong piece of steel. The only problem is some of the painted numbers were damaged by removal from shrink wrap packaging. I Am concerned that more of the number will be removed over time with use.

Recibí el paquete antes de la fecha. Llego bien empacado en perfectas condiciones. Vi los comentarios aun así me anime a comprar este producto. No veo nada mal al contrario me a sacado de apuros en las medidas de las brocas; porque así únicamente pido ya la medida exacta que necesito. La recomiendo por calidad y precio bueno
