Super Handy
I bought this tool at Walmart between mid to late decade of 2000s for $14.00. The tool broke on me recently. I called B&D for warranty and it only had two years warranty, but they also informed me that it's being discontinued. The price for this new one was only $17. The tool is very durable and powerful for regular to medium jobs. It's also tough ???? for some manual torque jobs. One good feature is that it uses alkaline batteries whick makes it more powerful than Lithium rechargeable batteries. It doesn't drain the batteries that easy, and batteries can stay in for months without being damaged. This is a long lasting tool, it's worth to have it.

Uses standard AA batteries, does the job
Purchased this to keep in my mobile tool kit that gets used infrequently. Wanted one that takes standard batteries and was NOT rechargeable so I can be sure it will work when I need it after sitting for an extended period of time. Does exactly this, so I'm happy. Handle is a little big around and a little heavy - but I didn't buy it for ergonomics. The single speed can also seem a little slow, but again - bought it to have an inexpensive option in my truck at all times that I didn't need to worry about a rechargeable battery being dead. Torque is sufficient for the small screws I'm using it on, and the ability to lock it and use the handle as a screwdriver should allow it to work for breaking free tight fasteners if needed. The large size of the handle is a positive if you need to use it manually to get something freed up.

Pretty good, but with some features that I don't like
I'm retired and I work in my workshop more than 40 hrs/week. I've used power screwdrivers for at least 30 years and I depend on them. They speed up project work and reduce stress on my hands. Many years ago, I bought a Black & Decker (US-made, back then) Versapak screwdriver. It's built to last, unlike most things nowadays, and it still works like new in spite of being dropped onto concrete floors from 6-foot ladders probably dozens of times. The Versapak is a tubular rechargeable NiCd battery that plugs into the open end of the screwdriver. It takes about 10 seconds to change batteries and the battery stays securely locked in place. You can charge two batteries in the charger while you're working, so you always have fully charged batteries on hand. The only problem with it is that B&D stopped making the Versapak batteries years ago. In the last years that they were made they were quite expensive, but they worked well. Now you can only get Asian copies. They don't fit properly, don't stay locked in placed and don't hold a charge. Nearly useless. I've had a few rechargeable screwdrivers with non-replaceable batteries (including from B&D) but after maybe 100 charge cycles the battery becomes weak and won't hold a charge. So, basically, the whole screwdriver is a throw-away. What a waste of materials and landfill space, but manufacturers love to sell new ones. There's no practical way to replace the internal battery; believe me, I've tried and I have many years of experience with electrical and electronic repairs. So I've been searching for a battery-powered screwdriver that I can live with. This one is the closest I've found so far. What I like: - Quickly removable battery pack. I use rechargeable AA batteries in the pack - Ergonomic (mostly) good fit for my hand, good balance and weight - Seems well-made. Time will tell. I doubt that it will last 30+ years like my old one What I don't like: - Changing and recharging batteries is a time-consuming nuisance compared to Versapak - The directional buttons are on opposite sides of the housing. To change the direction, you have to flip the screwdriver over. Not fun when the screw is above you while you're working on a ladder. On the old Verspak screwdriver, a single button could be moved left / center / right to reverse direction - Although there are "IN" and "OUT" arrows molded into the buttons, my insensitive fingers can't feel them, so I have to release my grip and look at the button to see which way it goes. Ugh. - If you drop the screwdriver from bench-height to the floor, the battery holder ejects and goes skittering across the floor to find something to hide under. If you're having a bad day, the batteries also eject and go off in various directions. 10 minutes later, after finding and replacing batteries and holder, you're ready to get back to work. - The short screwdriver bits included are too short to reach into recesses. You can buy longer (and much better) ones from the tool dept. at Lowes or Home Depot or on Amazon. Some fixes: - I wrapped Gaffer's tape around the battery-end of the screwdriver to prevent the battery pack from being ejected. Gaffer's tape is very handy stuff - much better than duct tape for many applications. - I molded a big blob of stick epoxy (JB WaterWeld) onto the "OUT" button. Now I can tell which button is which by feel.

Handy
Really handy for small jobs and it saves my wrist. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and severe arthritis in my thumbs, so any tools I can find that will help save me some pain, I'm all for.

Noce Powered Screw Driver
I got this to use instead of using a drill. I work on old beer signs and it can be a little precarious using a drill. One slip and you have an old broken beer sign. This has enough power to do the light working jobs around the house. Not sure on battery life yet but would recommend this.

Very Handy
I never thought I needed one of these until I strained a wrist while working. I really like it now even though my wrist is 100% again. It's very handy and has a decent amount of torque.

After 2 years, still Going Strong
Admittedly, I'm not a power-user. But, I love having this thing in my toolbag. I love that it's rechargeable. I usually charge it whenever I remember. It hasn't died yet :-) not once. I mostly use it to assemble Ikea furniture. I've also used it to remove my car battery, and replace license plates. I've used it to tighten screws on the laundry rack, and other odds/ends around the house. The built-in flash-light was essential when installing my dryer vent's hose. ???? Super Great Value! Love it!

hard to tell reverse/forward
One of the things that separates a good power screwdriver from a bad one for me is how you select between forward and reverse. The best ones have separate forward and reverse buttons, like this one. However, the best of those have the forward button toward the front and the reverse button toward the rear so that you always know which button is which, whereas on this product, the two buttons are just on opposite sides of the unit. They are marked with forward and backward arrows, but you have to look to see which button to push. And the arrows are just molded into the plastic, so they are very hard to see. I improved mine a lot by painting all six arrows with white paint. I like the fact that it is compact and fits my hand well, and while it probably lacks the torque of bigger drivers with built-in batteries, it does have a switch to lock the tip so you can turn the screw manually.

6 volts and replaceable batteries - joy!
Not the fastest of screwdrivers but it comes in handy on repetitious jobs where you don't need or want to fire up a man-size drill/driver. It handles most low torque jobs with relative ease but for the tougher jobs you might need to use the clutch lock and revert to manual. Ergonomically the design is clever, with the switches for forward and back on two sides (unlike a previous model I used which had just one rocker switch for both actions). Also different to models with an in-built rechargeable battery is the ability to change the batteries when they run down. The four AAs are swapped very easily through a clip-on cover in the base, which means that if you keep a fully charged set in reserve, you don't have to plug in and wait, as you would with a built-in battery. Incidentally, this driver came with a set of alkaline batteries fitted, so you're good to go as soon as you unwrap it. My plan is to move to rechargeables once these have run out (which certainly wasn't at the end of its first outing with about two hours of intermittent use). The body is quite solid but made from the sort of plastic that might crack if dropped to a solid stone floor, so I'm being protective in these early days until I'm sure it's up to the job. The supplied bits (one flat, one cross head) are standard fitment and can be replaced with a variety of other bits if needed. Speed prevents this from being used as a drill but it certainly could be used to start holes as an awl in softer materials with the right fitment. Overall I'm pleased so far, but more importantly, if this one is durable in all other respects, I can look forward to not having to throw it away like the built-in rechargeable versions I've owned, just because their batteries have given up the ghost!

Excellent tool for the modest price
Having seen mixed reviews about this tool, I was a little apprehensive as to whether it would be up to the job, but thought for £15ish if it can only do flat packs it's still worth it. However, I have found it to have plenty of power. Alright it can't do the first turn of getting a very tight screw out of a wall, but would you expect it to? Just lock the gearing and do that first, controlled turn manually, then switch it into gear and it powers through the next few turns and then speeds through the rest. As with others, I have plenty of bits from other sets, so the fact that it had just two was no problem. Only sad thing is that the socket is not deep enough to take the double ended-bits, which are useful when you are dismantling randomly constructed things, and have to constantly change between slot and Philips bits, but it's not a huge problem. A bonus for me is that it fits into the previous Black & Decker screwdriver case I had.

It's simple, but it works
Screw goes in. Screw goes out. It's as simple as that. This powered screwdriver takes 4 x AA batteries, and comes with (standard sized) philips and flathead bits. The batteries last a decent time, and there's sufficient torque to get screws nice and tight. There's just one speed, and a button each for tightening and loosening screws, as well as a collar to lock the screwdriver so it doesn't turn in a bag or toolbox.

power
A useful tool but it lacks power in driving tight fitting screws!

Screwdriver DIY
Good tool which relieves repetitive strain when doing repetitive work. However not the strongest torque as I have had to switch to manual operation on occasion. Still reasonable for the price for small jobs
