Awesome heater!
Our chicks love this heater! It is kind of like their mama hen. It is quick to assemble, and the top side is easy to clean if your chicks like to hop on top of it, like ours do. Even though our 4-week-old chicks don't really use this heater for warmth anymore (since our weather is already in the 80s and 90s), they still like to perch on top of it or hide under it when they are scared. It is even great for little-bitty chicks, but don't expect them to go under it right away like they would with a heat lamp...some coaxing is needed. Also, for anyone who wonders what temperature the heater is set to, we used an infrared thermometer gun to measure the temperature of the bedding underneath the heater, and it was exactly 95 degrees (when the heater was sitting low to the ground for our brand-new chicks).

I love this heater. I got my first chicks and was really concerned about over heating as well as them being too cool and this heater eased my mind. The chicks got right under it. I did purchase a chicken brooding thermometer to make sure the chicks weren't getting too hot and to let me know when to move up the heating element. Great investment for new chicken farmers.

Excellent low voltage and safe product to keep chicks warm
The Ecoglow brooder for chicks was easy to assemble and I like that it is a much lower voltage that traditional heat lamp bulbs making it more safe to keep chicks warm. The chicks really like getting underneath to stay warm and if it gets too warm I can raise the plate to make it cooler for the chicks. It seems to be well constructed and, hopefully, will last for years to come. Oh, and I like that it has a 3-year warrantly. I recommend this product for anyone who needs to keep their chicks warm and healthy.

really good for quail chicks
got this for my quail chicks, works perfectly. make sure your chicks are able to walk/stretch up to the heat before introducing them to it. love it because its much more consistent than a heating lamp. they get to choose how warm they wanna be, and can go out or in as much as they possibly want. 100% recommended

I should have bought this a long time ago. Easy to assemble and clean. More natural for the baby chicks and not a fire Hazzard. Definitely recommend.

Chicks and I love this product
I’m a new chicken momma and I’m glad I purchased this vs using a heat lamp. The chicks love this and I feel better knowing it’s safer to use and keeps them warm. We’re about 3 weeks in and I’ve had to raise it up a few times they sure grow fast. Cleaning can be a bit of a pain but I accidentally threw away the clear plastic cover so that’s kind of my fault. Btw don’t throw that away you can pop it off and easily clean the mess. They love to perch on top and cover it in droppings.

Hot surface
This warmer is hot when I touch it, but doesn’t feel that warm if I’m not directly touching the surface. I bought as a backup for my heat lamp, so I haven’t actually used it with my chicks yet. I don’t like that the legs screw onto it, and I can’t seem to get them even

Pollitos felices sin luz en la noche que los moleste.
Cuando me llego el eco glow me pareció un poco caro y el plástico pensé que no iba a ser muy util. Pero ahora lo amo y mis pollitos tambien. Ya voy por la cuarta parvada y hasta ahora todo es miel sobre hojuelas. Las ventajas 1. Es facil de graduar la altura e incluso de puede poner a alturas diferentes para hacer al pollito mas cómodo. 2. No emite luz nocturna. 3. Es muy seguro para los pollos no hay superficies que quemen horrible ni circuitos expuestos. 4. No calienta el ambiente el pollito puede acomodarse solo en donde el quiera y alejarse del calor (importante si tienes dias muy calidos al medio dia) 5. El plastico protector transparente hace que la limpieza sea muy facil. Desventajas 1. No es para exterior Una cosa importante que tener en cuenta es; que al tocar la parte de abajo esta realmente caliente.

Much better than a heat lamp
The chicks love it! They seem so much more content and are getting a better night's sleep than with the heat lamp. I am also getting a better night's sleep no longer worrying that the heat lamp will start a fire and that my electricity bill will be lower! Also, it arrived much quicker than the estimated delivery date.

Doesn't come with Australian plug.
I have bought Brinsea products from NZ and they came with a snapon adaptor - perfect. Not this one. I ordered 2 of the larger size brooders for $197 delivered, and now I see they are $220 each. I sent them back as the company said they won't honor the warranty if a non genuine plug is used (this was Brinsea UK, the Brinsea Canada said it was OK to use an adaptor - go figure). If you're in Australia and want one of these I recommend Chook Manor in NZ, exchange rate is good and they have the snapon adaptor. Chook Manor had the item to me within a week (pre-covid).

Wrong plug for Australian sockets
I was so excited to receive this in the post so quickly and opened it all up when it arrived. Unfortunately I hadn’t checked the plug... wrong plug for Australian sockets. So when I had 4 chicks arrive ready for the heat and unable to plug it in, I had to buy a reptile lamp from the local pet store. Hoping to source a proper plug. Pretty disappointed.

My chicks love it!
They cuddle underneath and the silence as they fall into a deep slumber is wonderful. I love how it can adjust in height so they get to choose how deep under they want to go and how warm they'd like to get. Thank you! I especially love the savings on electricity!!!
