Descent suitcase but should have 360 wheels

The suitcase is high quality my only issue is the wheels aren’t 360, my fault for not reading better but I suppose I assumed for the cost……

Great Quality, Flexible and Well Built Carry On

I took my first trip with this Briggs and Riley carry on. I opted for the (2) wheel as this is what I am used to. I was able to pack in a full 6/7 days of business casual clothing, extra shoes, jacket, etc. in this carry on and while it was full, it worked out great. The compressible side latches work very well. Everything seems very solid on the luggage. I was going to go with a competitor but decided not too as it seems all of their zipper hardware was failing. Not with this Briggs and Riley unit. Extended handle is solid, and the luggage maneuvered very well and fit just fine in the Overhead compartment of the Airliner. The luggage is a bit on the heavy side but I believe this is due to the solid construction. I have seen some complaints about rolling noise, but I did not notice anything unusual or loud with rolling the luggage at the airport, concrete, or other surfaces. It is a Keeper.

Too big and too heavy for global carry-on

The good — It's beautifully made and finished and would probably outlive me by many years. It's elegant and feature-rich. It has two nice, smooth-running wheels, so you can drag it a mile or two with ease, which you can't do with the 4-wheel spinners. The unacceptable — It measures a full 16 inches wide, which is larger than advertised and larger than any international airline allowed carry-on. Also (and this is my fault for not paying attention to the specs) has so many unenecessary features that it weighs almost ten pounds. It's a thug of a bag. That's more than half the Lufthansa 18-pound limit, even before you put anything in it. Most airlines have 22-pound limits on carry-ons and sometimes they enforce them. I had it back to UPS three hours after I received it.

The Ideal Carry-On

I have traveled with a Tumi 22" roller bag for the last 21 years. It served me well, but it is now rather battered and the hard plastic parts surrounding the extendable handle and around the bottom of the case have become brittle and are now failing. Unfortunately, Tumi is no longer the company it once was, having been bought out by some conglomerate. They are no longer making bags to the same standard of quality and their prices have risen dramatically. After looking at their current offerings, buying another Tumi bag didn't seem a reasonable choice. Fortunately, I already owned a Briggs & Riley 21" Global Roller Bag which I like a lot, it just wasn't suited for travel in today's most modern jets. It is 15" wide, which is just slightly too wide to allow it to be placed on it side in the newest overhead bins. I always felt a bit guilty having to place it flat in the overhead bin, which takes up about twice the space as a bag placed on its side. Hence, my decision to purchase this 22" roller bag , which conforms nicely to most domestic carrier's size requirements, at just 14" wide. It fit's perfectly on its side in the overhead bin. This bag is beautifully constructed and very sturdy. The wheels glide through airports like a dream, and I love the ability to pack the bag, close it up, then compress the bag down to a depth of just 9". Plus it has the best warranty in the business -- a lifetime guarantee. You won't find any bag with a better warranty.

Lifetime guarantee

My spouse took this on a three week European business travel. Everything correctly, many compartments to organize and is carry on compliant. This is a very versatile suitcase for business traveler because they were many delays where customers did not get that checked in baggage so it’s good to travel with this carry-on. Also, Briggs and Riley have an excellent policy that they will repair for free, either a nearby authorized repair shop or you can send it away. Office Briggs and Riley purchase was approximately 10 years ago, and we decided to go with the same company again because of their lifetime, guarantee, and warranty

Splurged a bit, but worth it.

I wanted a carry-on that would allow for a week of business travel without having to check a bag. Have made a couple of international trips and it worked perfectly. A little larger than your standard carry-on. A bit nervous that an over zealous gate agent may measure, but so far it hasn't happened. Selected the Olive since it was on sale prior to Christmas.

Great luggage

I bought this rugged, 2 wheeled carry on luggage to use on uneven surfaces. Everyone knows Briggs and Riley reputation. I like all the features: outside handles, the little pouch between the handles, the compartments on the front of the lid, zippers on the outside are smooth and easy on my fingers, love the suit/dress compartment, love the one touch CX compression , and the strap (really not straps but flaps) to cinch your clothes, etc. I would recommend this luggage to everyone who wants to spend a lot more than buying cheaper luggage. I can tell that , if you buy this luggage, you are set. You don’t need to buy another one unless you are bored with carrying this luggage.

The last bag you will ever need

The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with this bag and have used it on a recent trip. The one thing that came as a surprise is how shiny the zippers and other parts are.

Too big; no customer service

The dimensions of this carry on are not as stated. It is too big and that when it's not packed. The seller Two Red Tuques will accept the return but will not refund the return shipping costs. Apparently, neither will amazon. An expensive lesson.
