My New Favorite Appliance! - We now satisfy our cravings in a healthier way.
Blenders have always been one of those things we've owned but rarely use, but i'm saying that coming from one of those classic Osters and Black and Deckers with 500-600W of power. Those blend and "chop" ice alright but didn't come out of the cabinet very often. Before this Braun TriForce, i acquired one of those bargain "professional" Chinese Blenders ($149) and it completely changed our vision on blenders. Yes, we watch TV, yes, we know people who prepare smoothies at home, but we didn't own one and didn't see all the possibilities this would introduce to our daily lives, we've been satisfying our cravings with healthy smoothies, sorbets and soups with this. The problem with the our previous "bargain, professional" blender was that out of the box it had issues, we ordered a replacement of that one and the issues were not present, but overall the design didn't look durable (plastic pins on pitcher to activate blender, pitcher material felt brittle). It did a good job, but we had concerns, although we liked it, now we were hooked on a new quest for a blender that did that and felt durable. This Brain TriForce exceeded our expectations. As you already know, it's a "smart" blender with programs and the results are phenomenal. It's great to follow directions, set a program for your desired end product, and KNOW it'll come out the way you wanted, there is no "guesstimation" with this blender. You want a smoothie? Fine, follow the instructions on ingredients, pick a texture (coarse-medium-smooth) push start, and just wait, you don't even need to know when it's ready, it'll turn off when its ready and it's all digital, not a mechanical timer. The program oscillates power to provide the end result you want and to make sure that variation of speed/power blend/mix all the ingredients evenly as opposed to a fixed speed that would keep the blades spinning at the same speed and what that would do sometimes is to miss the ingredients as they are spinning to fast on the crushed ice while keeping the other ingredients above the ice. Powern isn't all in a blender, but the 1600W on this, feels more powerful than the 1800W on a bargain brand. Also the "brains" on the programs make the most out of the final product by oscillating when needed. The build quality is what you'd expect from Braun. The blade (on the full sized Pitcher) is German-made and it chops ice, nuts and vegetables like nothing. The safety features on both the Pitcher and on the Smoothie2Go are outstanding, the accesories (Tamper and Smoothie2Go Bottle and Coupling Adapter) feel solid overall. It self cleans, it even has a program for that, put a couple of drops of soap, water to 1/4, press clean, then rinse and it's clean, works 100% of the time! The "Smoothie2Go" Feature is nice to have, but i found it a little lacking in power for ice-heavy mixes, it'll give you an error code (ER-01), but i found it understandable, the blades are smaller than the one on the full-sized pitcher so this feature would be for blending and smoothies without much ice in it. Braun offers a 5-Year warranty on this and it's good knowing they'll be in business to honor that warranty if something happens to your appliance, compared to the 5 Years given by the "Bargain Brands" which probably won't be around by then. This was overall an AWESOME acquisition that has us making smoothies for breakfast and juices for late evening cravings, we don't go for ice-cream, or chocolate or cookies as much, so adding this appliance and replacing refined products with fruits and vegetables is definitely going to make a difference in our diet and lifestyle, [5-Stars!]

Blending Is Impressive BUT Problems
Used this for a couple of weeks for AM smoothie. What is good is the excellent speed & through blending and ease of cleaning & the Best gasket ever. What is troubling is the 2GO CUP - Fill to Max 20oz. for SMOOTHIE and it frequently gets unhappy & displays ERROR MESSAGE E01...Which is overloaded cup or blade block. Neither was the case. Manual worked somewhat better. I did smell a little motor smell & did not want to smell that again. So, I now have to reduce from 20 oz. to see if that stops the problem. This is annoying because Braun should have offered a bigger 2GOCUP, but they do not. New Problem: I have decided to return because today the mechanism for inserting the 2GoCup frequently malfunctions & makes it difficult to get cup out. The bad outweighs the good so I have to return this.

Great blender
I've had a Braun blender for more than 8 years and it is still going strong. I just decided to get another one with more versatility. So far easy to make daiquiris and smoothies. Looking to try other things with it. Registration was easy to do.

Does not blend smoothies well
Does not circulate food well for smoothies nor chop them thoroughly. Tried to use the large jar to see if it did a better job but still food chunks. My cheap Ninja does better.

Vitamix vs Braun
The media could not be loaded. Over the years, I’ve had a few compact blenders, Oster at the low end and Vitamix at the high end. Now I haven’t yet tried out the Ninja but my trainer swears by it. I do have an older Blentec but one of the kids took that when they moved. The Braun has some nice feature with a variety of settings, 1200 watts and a 20 oz travel mug. It comes with a standard container 64 oz and tamper as well. Positives Cord storage (however, it’s hard to get cord back in, as it’s not retractable) First blender I’ve seen with an on / off switch It stays down since it starts slow 60 second smoothie - if you want it smooth, you can also select other textures. No louder than any other high watt blender Blends powder well into smoothie Easy to remove rubber washer to clean Negatives It’s tall and very wide, space hog Getting the lid off was harder since this plastic not rubber Too many parts, you need to use a special adapter and separate blade unit for the tumbler. When you put the tumbler unit in side the adapter you have to turn it to lock in place or it won’t turn on. Overall, it’s a nice blender just maybe a bit overpriced and a tad more complicated. I’d give this blender 4 stars since my Vitamix S30 is still my favorite blender for smoothies. Oster Compact Blender ($99) 1200 watts 1 standard container 64 oz and tamper 2 travel mugs, each is 24 oz 3 texture settings and 4 manual settings 11.2 x 13.6 x 10.35 inches and 1.5 lbs. 3 year warranty It starts with a big jump, i had to grab it because I thought it was going to tip over, it had frozen fruit in it. I gave it 3 stars. Vitamix One ($250) 840 watts and 1.25hp motor. 1 standard 32 oz container and tamper 8" x 7" x 16" high 6 lbs 4 oz 2 year warranty This has been my one of my favor blenders up until one of the kids grabbed it to replace the Oster. I originally gave it 5 stars, but after using it over the year its more like 3 stars since it lacks setting features. Vitamix S30 S-Series Blender ($400) 790 watts 1 standard container 1 travel mug 5 year warranty The is my standard go to blender. It’s done well, it was a first edition. I use this one daily. It’s the simplest one to use and I would say it’s 5 stars for blending smoothies and some versatility for making other food items. The down side is the price.

Very disappointed with it. Not much power for making Smoothies. Constantly stops with E04 Error.
Tried to make smoothie many times with frozen fruits (Berries, Strawberries, Mango, pineapple) and adding Welsh Grape juice to it, but each time after few seconds it stops and displays E04 error. Prior to this I had Breville blender for a while and I never had problems in making exactly this same type of smoothie.

Great blender!
I bought this triforce model as it seemed like a reasonable price for its options. It also looks great. I really like the timer display and to my surprise the labeled settings actually are helpful. It’s easy to clean. I really like the metal coupling, I don’t have to worry about it stripping like with plastic couplers. I haven’t used the soup setting and I don’t think I will. I’d rather use my stove than burn out the motor on a pricey blender. Everything else so far it has worked great!

Not recommend to anyone!
The plastic parts of my blender melted and the jar was leaking in July. I called the customer service and the staff promised us to replace mine with a new one. They asked for warranty proof and I provided what I have at once. Since then, there was no follow up. I kept calling / sending email and even messages Braun CS on Facebook over the past two months. People from this company only gave me a perfunctory reply, saying they would process my case. But the problem is, I am not recommended to continue to use the blender now because it may cause danger! Now I have no blender to use and have caused me a lot of inconvenience. Worst customer service ever! Think twice before you buy any Braun household products!

Handles ice cubes and hard veggies easily. Different jug shape seems to make blending easy
I’ve never had the opportunity to use a Vitamix but I have a powerful (or so I thought) Kitchenaid Blender and older Oster blender with a glass blending jug that has mostly been retired. This is totally different in many ways compared to them as it has a triangular shaped jug instead of circular or square. This shape makes for a very consistent blend whether you’re blending a smoothie with frozen fruit and ice cubes or a soup with chunks of veggies or lentils to pulse (get it?) into a velvety smooth soup. It’s also noticeable more powerful (1600W vs. 1200W) compared to my Kitchenaid. It is about as noisy, especially when blending ice cubes and very hard ingredients but that’s par for the course basically. The Smoothie2Go is a fun addition since I often don’t want to mess up the bigger jug if I just want to make a quick small breakfast smoothie or pre/post-workout shake or protein smoothie. The 20 oz. capacity (~2.5 cups) is smaller than I’d prefer though. I think a 25 – 35oz capacity would be ideal. You need to account for enough liquid in the Smoothie2Go bottle to allow the ingredients to blend properly. I love the touch control panel to select various settings as it makes it easier to wipe clean compared to physical buttons. The pre-sets include: smoothie, soup, chop (+ coarse, medium or smooth), ice crush, frozen dessert, spread. If you prefer more control over the speed of the blender, select Manual mode or Pulse. I have used it weekly for morning smoothies and post-workout smoothies and for batches of homemade pea soup and carrot, lentil and rutabaga soup. It handles whatever I throw into it with ease and it doesn’t take up more counter space compared to the footprint of my Kitchenaid blender (which has been sidelined). == CLEANING == Cleaning the jug and smoothie bottle is easy since the blender has its own cleaning cycle button. Just rinse the jug/bottle out, fill partway with warm water and add a drop or two of dish soap. Insert onto blender base and start the Clean mode button and it will run through a cycle to clean the blades and the bottle/jug thoroughly. Empty and rinse with clean water and that’s it!

Powerful and easy to use
Its big, noisy, and does one heck of a good job. It really is large, about 50% larger than any other blender I've ever seen or used. Everything is large. The base is about 25% larger than most options available today. This, of course, means a lot of capacity when blending things. Where we used to make enough smoothy mix for two or three people this easy makes a reasonable amount that will satisfy for four or five people. Using it isn't any more complicated than any other blender. The controls are all front-facing and not complicated. After making a few concoctions, I went through the manual and didn't find anything new. It has the usual mixing and blending options which are common on pretty much every consumer blender available today. I do like the addition of a small-to-go version of the bottle. It makes just the right amount for one person, is easy to use, and then cleans up. The main blender triangular shape is new, and so far, I haven't seen any reason to go with this design versus the usual four-corner design. When crushing ice cubes, I haven't noticed any difference at all. I don't experience more jamming in one design versus the other. Getting things reduced to tiny bits works the same in both. It does have a lot of power, like a couple of other models, and can easily work through all manner of hard things like hard dried lentils and chickpeas. I do like that there is an included maul that can be dropped into the blender while it's running to help push things like ice cubes down, so they get processed while the blender is running. The fact that it passes through the top lid center hole and only goes in to a predetermined depth means it's safe and convenient to use. The top lid is a very snug fit, which is a good thing. There have been times with other blenders when they are pulsing a rather full load that the lid has become dislodged. Since everything breaks down into small pieces, clean-up is easy, especially after running a cleaning cycle with water while on the machine base first. One thing I do really like is that the power cord can be tucked into the base so any excess is out of the way, which clears up counter space. The only negative item I can find to mention is the power switch. It's located on the right-hand side at the bottom rather than on the front, where it makes sense and is easy to use. This makes keeping it on a counter, with other items, clumsy to get at.

Robust blending power with some caveat
Nice packaging and everything arrived in good condition, including the blade, which was well protected. The initial impression of this blender is that it has a large base that takes up a lot of counter space. It can make smoothies out of ice cubes, frozen fruit, yogurt, and a variety of other ingredients in seconds. The blender is incredibly simple to clean. The timer display is quite useful. The smoothie cup that comes with it is a nice addition since it allows you to have everything ready to go when you need it. It's not a big concern, but the way the lid attaches to the jug is a little awkward and not at all obvious. In comparison to the blender I've used, the smoothie container feels cheap. One thing is for sure the power it brings to make things with a breeze is awesome. Overall, I'm pleased with its blending capability, but not so much with the design of the lid and base connection for the smoothie maker, which creates an unnecessary storage issue for the extra component. If you plan to use the main jar frequently, you need to think about storing this attachment on top of the smoothie cup as well.
