Best small drill I've ever owned
I've had this drill for almost exactly 5 years now. I use it once or twice a month for all kinds of things. Everyone who I've ever let use it is surprised at how powerful it is. It could twist your wrist if you weren't ready for it. I just used it to make a set of large shelves using 2x4's and plywood, my heaviest use for it yet. Even after all these years it still surprised me how well it did driving 3 1/2 inch screws. I hit a knot one time and had to move the screw away from it but other than that it worked well. It's small enough to get in the tight spaces easily too. The batteries last plenty long enough for every job I've used it for and they hold their charge a long time between uses. After my shelves I hung a bunch of parts bin cabinets and took apart some plywood boxes that used to hold the bins. I started with a battery showing 1/3 and finished with my 2nd battery showing 1/3. After all this time and all the times I've used it I figured it was finally time to leave my review and say how much I love this drill. It has easily done everything I've asked of it and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

Awesome Compact Drill/Driver
I've been using the the Bosh PS130 for many years, but was using this drill/driver with the smaller 10.8V battery. It still worked great! I love the screw driving, drilling, and hammer drill modes, as well as the two speed ranges. It's super reliable, and when the batteries are newer, they last a really long time. My batteries are failing after more than 10 years of use, and only last about half of their original lifespan, so I ordered this kit with two 12V batteries, charger, and drill/driver, for just $119. This is a great value, given the performance. I now only get out the 120V corded drill when drilling larger diameter holes (1/4" and larger), or when drilling through heavy metal. Love this product. Highly recommended!

2.0A batteries come standard now - great drill for DIY
I've used corded drills for years, and finally got tired of dragging out the heavy-duty extension cord, and keeping the cords organized during projects. I did a lot of research, and narrowed it down to a few models. The L-BOXX system is interesting, but I'm not a contractor, so I chose a hammer option over the fancy case. I just got the drill last night, charged the batteries and gave it a test run. Screws into some old pine scrap went smoothly, and the clutch is easy to set for consistent depth. Drilling was fine, and I didn't see any wobble to the chuck. I tried the hammer drill, but wood really isn't a good test. I don't expect to use it that often, but it'll be very handy when I need to drill into cinder block or concrete. The drill itself is a little bigger than I expected, but fits my hand comfortably, and is balanced well. Mine came with 2.0 amp batteries, and a sticker to that effect on the outer box, which was a nice surprise. The charger is basic, but worked fine and didn't get too warm after charging both packs to full. It does use balancing leads to address each cell in the pack individually, so battery life should be maximized, and a bad cell should trigger a warning, not vent with flame. Printing on the packs lists "INR", which is a high-current chemistry, so I'd expect plenty of life from both batteries, especially with the protection circuit. Li-ion batteries are different enough from Nicads and NiMHs that I want to see some engineering to that effect. Bosch has done well in that regard.

This is My Second Bosch Drill
I'm a homeowner/perpetual tinkerer who uses these a lot, and I have had this type of driver for several years. This is my second purchase in a row of the Bosch. I used a Dewalt before, and there are several things I prefer about this drill/driver over the Dewalt. First, it is more compact. Where the Dewalt had a large heavy battery, this one has a much smaller battery that is lighter. It still holds a charge for a good long time. It has all the power I need to drive 3" deck screws. Overall, I'm very happy with this drill/driver.

Great drill for smaller jobs around the house
Great small drill with hammer drill option. 2 speed selector on top is ok to use and the mode selection is intuitive. I think this is great for light duty work, i.e. a home owner dealing with small jobs around the house. The drill is very small and I don't imagine it would be good for heavy duty work, like metal work or lots of masonry drilling work. I'll keep my corded drill handy for bigger jobs like spade bits and harder surfaces. No comparison to 120v torque!!! The nice thing about this drill is the battery exchange-ability with the other Bosch tools. I have the older 10.8v cordless driver (PS10) and the battery is the same size. I did a bit of research before I bought this drill since I didn't want to end up with a bunch of incompatible batteries and chargers. The cordless driver uses the 12v battery no problem, it was apparently under rated for some reason. The new version (PS11) uses the same 12v batteries as this drill includes. So I only need 1 charger and set of batteries now, the 10.8v stuff can sit on a shelf and I can take advantage of 12v power.

Light Duty Drill
This model was obtained as my older 10.5 volt version of this Bosch drill was not making much headway drilling 1/8 inch diameter holes in riverstone pavers, and I felt I needed the hammer feature. The maximum hammer setting on the PS 130-2A was barely enough for the task. The 3-jaw chuck would not remain locked during hammering requiring frequent retightening. Battery life appeared very short [less than 2-hours] compared to the 10.5 volt drill which could "run all day" on a single charge. Max torque could not remove 3 inch screws set by the 10.5 volt drill unless in hammer mode. While the 3-jaw chuck is more versatile than the quick change chuck on the old unit it proved slower and less convenient in changing bits than the older drill.

Completely Satisfied
I have yet to come across a disappointing bosch tool in their 12-V line. This drill is amazing in every aspect. It really raises the bar for 12-V li-ion power tools. The most appealing features are: - Small size, lightweight. - Very long lasting battery. - Powerful hammer function (I have to say I only tested it on a piece of concrete walkway as I have not yet had to do any concrete work and it seems to do the job well). - High torque driving function. - Nice LED and battery indicator. - Very nice to have the function selector ring independent on the torque selection ring (as a separate ring); this improves the experience and convenience - Nice soft carrying case which is as small as possible yet fitting everything with space to spare. - Looks and feels great! The small "problems" (between quotations because these are really nit picks, as I have not had any problem with the tool) are: - Wish it had a belt clip - Wish the finishing touches were better (battery sticker peeling off, no footpads on the charger). - Just as like every other cordless tool I have ever experiemented with, this one has a tiny bit of wobbling in the chuck. Doesn't bother me tough, and is completely normal. I never expected this not to have it.

I had never used a hammer drill before but this one proved ideal for what I needed to do and was easy to use
I needed a tool that could make holes in concrete walls so that I could hang heavy, framed, paintings. I had never used a hammer drill before but this one proved ideal for what I needed to do and was easy to use. The lithium ion battery came partly charged and a full charge took only minutes. It is light but powerful enough to sink 1 -1 1/2" holes in concrete walls without a huge amount of effort. It is relatively quiet, compact, and easy to store. I like the fact that it comes with a fabric case and an extra battery.

Very Impressed
I was somewhat sceptical on the hammer option on this drill, but for a small drill, it works surprising well. I wouldn't use this for heavy hammer-drilling, but for several 5/16" holes drilled in cement, works quite well. The fit and finish on this unit is the usual Bosch quality, which is a very high professional grade. Definitely suitable for professionals. A great mate to my Bosch 1/4" 12V impact driver. I highly recommend this product.

Compact and light drill for around the house work.
Great compact and light tool for around the house work. Despite it's smaller size and 12V battery, I find it still packs quite a bit of power and endurance without the bulk of a typical 18V. It allows me to get into tight awkward spots where larger drills would of not been able to. I also like how the battery indicator is lit when the drill is being operated. This is helpful because you can gauge the battery life with a quick glance rather than having to press a completely separate button.

Well built and powerful
I own many Bosch Tools. This was my first compact 12 volt unit. It has a very nice solid feel in your hand. Reasonably powerful, the hammer function is useful as is the built in battery gauge. It is light weight; useful for overhead work or repetitive tasks like driving screws while hanging panels. Just remember this is not a 18 volt unit and adjust your expectations accordingly. UPDATE: After a year of light use the chuck will slip on the bit. You have to apply brute force tightening the chuck. When using in hammer function the chuck must be constantly re-tightened. Given this, I have deducted two stars from my rating. This would be a great tool if the chuck was improved.
