Works pretty good on most stuff

The bit worked pretty good with cutting oil until I went to drill on a coil spring and the bit actually chipped one side of the lower part of the bit. It might still work for drilling softer metal or if I clean it up on the grinder, but appears to be a casting with the bit polished and ground down to look forged. I would probably suggest buying at a local store to get a warranty on a bit honestly. The next bit this size I buy will be at a local store that has a warranty on it.

Solid, sharp hard working twist bit

Cuts through metal like cold butter, holes are smooth and clean! ONLY problem is with this bit it was difficult to resharpen.

Used to drill 1/4 316 stainless. Worked well using cutting fluid as a lubricant. Don't let the drill get too hot, and run at 650 RPM max. Still sharp after 20 holes.

Not for hard steal

Trying to drill axle flanges for larger wheel studs didn’t even get two holes before the bit died

Punched through! Great bit

Bought this as I needed to drill though some pretty thick steel (thickest point was about an 8th of an inch). It handled the job perfectly. It cut through pretty quickly, and did not start to chip apart, wear out or fade. Looks and feels strong. Had good weight to it too, adding to the quality feel. Not much else to say. Would recommend it for sure.
