Tough Bag!
I've traveled with this bag every week for about 4 years . In and out of a truck and in and out of hotels it's not had a easy life but it's just starting to wear out. It's been worth the money.

More Than I Bargained For
The bag arrived quickly, within about a week. It is sturdy construction and has a lot of straps, giving you a lot of options on how to carry it. There's the shoulder straps, side-carry handles, and also long straps down the top that are padded and can be used to wear the bag as a backpack. Each end has pockets. One ends has a large outside pocket, the other end has two smaller pockets. Along one side there are three smaller outside pockets that don't hold too much, but they're nice to jam your phone or whatever in them. The inside is huge, very roomy and there are two additional pockets inside it as well along the side. A smalled velcro pocket is attached to the front of a slip-in pocket. This bag is rugged and well-made, but then I've only been using it for a few weeks. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars is that the shoulder-carry straps have tiny clips on them which don't fit the fabric ends. I kinda had to wedge the clip into the end. It would have been nice to include some D-Rings or something similar to make it easier to clip the shoulder straps on. Other than that, the bag is great. It's big. I'd suggest getting a ruler and measuring out the dimensions you see. I just wanted a medium-sized gym bag, but this monster of a bag could almost double as a body bag. But it works out great since I can pack in quite a bit of gear, so I'm not complaining.

Great duffel bag
Great duffel bag... Bought it for my sons' scout camping trips (not back packing).. seems to fit the bill perfectly Here is my initial thoughts, observations Pros Size : 33"L X 12"H x 13.6"W. (see uploaded images) main compartment only. There are pockets on both sides which would make it longer than 35-36" Very sturdy hefty material Double stitching.. looks strong nice vinyl/rubber like coating on bottom for water proofing sturdy straps for carrying with handle,and also as backpack Cons Slightly heavy (not really a con, it is heavy because it has strong canvass material) Zippers/buckles etc are plastic, other bags in a similar price range (even a bit lower) have metal buckles/zippers The pockets on one end of the bag have a velcro flap, no zipper so less secure. It would have been ok, but for the fact that when carried as a backpack these pockets are at the bottom, would have felt more secure if these pockets were zippered. My kids drag their gear and toss their gear around. Will see how this bag holds up to their rough handling and update the review later based on real field usage

This bag is a beast - long term review.
I bought this bag in 2015 and it has been through some abuse. I've flown with this bag, I've had it in the back of a truck for many miles, it's been tossed in the dust of the desert many times and it still keeps going. I was looking for another duffel I'd ordered many years ago and saw this in my order history. I couldn't believe the price I'd paid back then. This bag is not that expensive and worth every penny. If you need a sturdy bag that will take a beating, this one is it.

THIS IS A HUGE BAG!!
In Dec 2014 I visited a "no sales tax" state. I brought a carry on bag with me that was full when I arrived. I got carried away buying stuff on sale at a sportswear outlet store. All that stuff wouldn't fit in the bag I brought with me so I searched amazon for a "heavy canvas duffel bag." The Texsport Canvas Tactical Bag was the 5th item listed in my search. The reviews looked good so I ordered it and had it 2 days later. I'm not going to go into alot of details but this thing is HUGE!! It fit EVERYTHING I purchased including the bag I originally traveled with. I have included pictures of everything I put in this bag. A few things I will mention are: 1) upon opening the sealed plastic bag it comes shipped in, there is a strong i don't know what it is odor. 2) the bag does come with shoulder straps attached to the bag. I did not try to use the straps. 3) the carrying handles \ straps are very uncomfortable and do not attach to eachother (like most mags do). I had 40lbs in the bag. No pain no gain ha? Overall this is a great bag that I would recommend to anyone who needs to carry or travel with a ton (40lbs) of stuff.

This thing is HUGE!!
This duffel is huge... So huge that every time I look at it, I swear I could contort myself into it without a problem. And one day when I'm really bored, I'm definitely going to attempt it! It's a great quality bag, material is really sturdy, zippers all function and also seem sturdy, lots of side pockets in case the bag just isn't big enough for you... And you can't beat the price. The only thing that irks me is that considering the size of the bag, I wish the top zipper opening would allow you to put larger things in it, instead of a greater number of smaller things. But I'm sure the sturdy construction would be compromised if they changed that.

Great bang for your buck
This bag is pretty great. What I did was basically put this in my wish llist and waited until I was on a trip somewhere and needed to check a bag rather than carry on (trip to wine country). This thing was $30, delivered to my hotel, cheaper than a junk carry-on from WMart. Stuffed it FULL, including my actual carry-on, checked the sucker, good to go. The bag weighs less than a pound and packs flat, so you can just stick it in the front of your suitcase and have an emergency failover bag anytime. Dude, it's $30, just buy it. Handles are fine, shoulder straps have come in pretty handy (throw over one shoulder when my hands got tired, but I'm a big dude), i may add a padded wrap to the handles for airport carries
