Great functional water bottle that is super cute for a while
I initiallly purchased this product in another design because, well, CUTE! The first one lasted a couple of months, and then the design started peeling off. It's still functional as a water bottle, it just looks a little sad, so we only use it in the house (and only when our imaginary friends are sleeping). My daughter asked for a new one that she could use around real and pretend people, so I got this one. It's nice because it keeps the water cold, it doesn't leak, it's easy for a child to open and close by turning the thingie on top, and it's cute until the design peels off. So if you want a water bottle that is super functional, this one is great, as long as you can deal with a design that is only temporary.

Fully Inspect The Inside When It First Arrives
I may post an additional update after we've had a chance to use this for a bit, but I just wanted to post a warning that inside the bottle is a little packet that sometimes is included in shipping items (and I believe may be poisonous) that I didn't see immediately and doesn't come out even after washing it out because it's bigger than the opening of the bottle. Fortunately, I caught it before I gave it to my daughter, but I could see someone easily missing it for a first use if its stuck inside somehow. Aside from that, I'd agree that the lid isn't super easy for a little one, but it mostly seems like a quality item and my daughter loves the design.

Cute durable cup.
my daugher loves horses and I could only find a limited amount of options. This cup is a winner in cuteness, durability, leakproof, and ease of cleaning, lightweight even though stainless steel. The big downfall is the top that covers the cup is nearly impossible to put on, you can remove, but then the spout can gets dirty.

Design flaw FIXED
I'm editing my review from January (below). I reordered this bottle in September because my daughter lost the original one. The design flaw that caused the domed lid cap to pop off seems to have been fixed. Now it snaps down and stays on. Very cute. The spout itself is easy for a child to twist to open/close but the domed cap is poorly designed. Hard to click down, keeps popping off.

Fast delivery!
My review is for great service and super fast delivery! Haven't used the bottle yet, I hope it last because is super cute! I read in other reviews people telling about the cap doesn't stay close, the same happen when my sister and my husband try to close it, but I took the bottle, look at the cap and gently close it. They stared at me like what did you do??? I only closed it gently, this is not a cap that closes with a great amount of force. That is the mistery!

I love the look of this bottle and so does my almost 3-year-old. It's nice that I can lock the top so it doesn't leak, but she can't unlock it by herself. Stainless steel water bottles in general are a bit annoying because they dent so easily and don't look nice anymore and this one is no different.

Sturdy Water Bottle (but needs better lid).
I was excited to purchase this water bottle as I try to stay away from the major chain store brands (PB Kids, etc). BUT, the lid became a chewing point for my 4 year old, and it didn't close well after the first use, so I ended up just taking the lid part off. The bottle is made out of metal, so it's sturdy and will withstand ANY fall, but on the same token it scratches easily too. My son loves the bottle and dino design and we use it on a daily basis, but I'd like to see a more improved model come out from the Stephen Joseph line.

Quality product but coating on the inner threads where the cap fits was wearing off
Good quality product but only problem was they had coated the inner threading with brass coating which was coming off and there was blue outer paint coat too which was on the inner threads side, it took us a lot of time to clean it n ensure that there was no remnants before my son could use it

Steel bottle breaks open if it falls. Very Poor.
Unbelievable - its a steel bottle but you need to treat it like glass. This bottle fell to the floor from my hand and the bottom rim just opened up. You would expect denting when it falls but not steel cracking open at the base. The bottle seems to be made from two different pieces of steel welded together and when it falls, the welding sometimes apart. After paying a premium for a steel bottle, I really feel cheated cuz of the build quality. Absolutely not recommended due to faulty engineering.

Cute but has many design deficiencies
Pros: * cute * low price * doesn't leak when closed Cons: * scratches easily * open/close mechanism is such that you can't tell at a glance if it's open or closed * this makes it challenging for my 2 year old to use at all and annoying for anyone to use * it also means it ends up leaking because you assume it's closed when it isn't * you can't easily clean the nozzle as there's no straight path through the spout * you can't easily clean the bottle as the opening is narrow * there's no internal suction tube so you have to tilt it up to drink from it (also making it challenging for my 2 year old even when the nozzle is open) * the lid is difficult to snap back on, so tends to just flap about For all those reasons I stopped using it after a month.
