Cute and warm for winter dance class

My daughter always gets cold at the beginning of dance class for the long sleeves are great for winter. It is comfortable, stretchy, and durable.

Sizing seems off

Seems like good quality but my tall and thin 11 year old said it’s too small / too tight. The tag says large. Kind of confused because online it says size 12-14. My daughter is about an 11/12 or 10 long in street clothes but this 12/14 doesn’t fit her??? I can’t imagine buying her a women’s size but I guess I’ll need to give that a try.

attracts fuzzies and pet hair

The suit was a bit big. My daughter had a pink capezio leotard a size smaller (4) that was too small so I figure the next size (6) would fit perfect. Its a tiny bit loose in the torso and long in the sleeves, but she can live with since she's growing quickly. My biggest complaint is that the suit seem to attract hair and fuzzies like velcro. We have light colored pets and their hair makes the leotard look messy the second she puts it on. It is hard to get off with a hair remover.

Fit is a bit off but otherwise seems well made

As others have mentioned, the fit on this is a bit off. After reading the other reviews, I bought my almost five year old average sized daughter an Intermediate 6-8. It's a bit baggy on her and the arms are too long making the overall look a bit messy, but the leg openings are comfortable for her and the waist does smooth out and seem to fit nicely so I am reluctant to go down a size. It's September now and I bought this for her dance class for the winter months ahead. I'm hoping she grows into it and it eventually fits her well overall rather than fitting in some areas and looking baggy in others. Fit aside, it does seem well made and I do like that the front is lined.

Too small, BUT great customer service!

Ordered this item as part of my 2.5 year old's Halloween costume. It took longer than expected to arrive, and was SO SMALL, leaving me in a scramble to find a size up in time for the holiday. Overall, it is well made and not see through at all, but my 30 pound, 37 in tall daughter was yelling "too tight!" as soon as I got it on her. When you hold it up it looks like it would comfortably fit a 1 year old, maybe 18 months. The leg holes were very tight and cut into my daughters little chubby thighs. I would think that if your child is very petite for their age, or skinny mini then this would work. I ended up visiting our local dance supply store and purchased the same leotard a size up in a child small. Luckily, Capezio allowed me a full refund without having to send the item back in, which was really convenient and allowed me to instantly apply my refund to the purchase of a leotard that fit. Minus the headache of having to hunt down a child size small, Capezio makes high quality dancewear, and provides excellent customer service. Recieved my refund within 24 hours!

Intermediate (6-8) a little large on a tall 4 yr. old

I ordered both the Capezio Long Sleeve Leotard and Low Rise Ankle Pant in Intermediate (6-8) for my 4 1/2 yr. old daughter, who is 43.5 in. tall (about 85th percentile) and 42 lbs. (about 75th percentile). (So, she's tall and has an average to slim build.) The sleeves on the leotard are a little long (just over her wrists) and the pants are just a little long as well, but both are wearable now and will probably fit for the next year or more. I washed both according to directions (cold, delicate cycle with like colors, line dry) and didn't notice any shrinkage. Both are made of a substantial weight fabric, and the pink leotard had a nude fabric lining in the front. My daughter wore both to her gymnastics class and was comfortable and happy in them. The black pants seem to pick up a lot of lint, but that's easy to remove with a sticky roller.

Fits Perfectly

My daughter REFUSED to take this (and her tights) off for her nap after her first dance class. She's at about the 97th% percentile height-wise and 50th percentile weight-wise so I thought it might be a bit snug, but she was very comfortable and was able to cause multiple levels of mischief. She's only 95% potty-trained so I was worried that a pull-up might be too uncomfortable or interfering but it worked out perfectly with pull-ups or underwear. My daughter's only three so this was more for fashion than form, but the quality is great and the sizing recommendations from other reviewers were very helpful.
