I really nice toaster oven, but the controls are complicated and hard to see
I really like this toaster oven from the point of view of it being small enough to make toast, but large enough to do small baking & broiling tasks. It does a good job of cooking things and seems to generally be a high quality product. My only complaint is, it uses really small pictorial icons to represent things. The first picture I included is intentionally not close enough so you know what it looks like to my bad eyes. Toasting involves setting *3* knobs: You have to set the top knob, the 2nd from the top, and the bottom timer (not the 2nd from the bottom timer) to "diamond on fire" (it's supposed to be a smoking piece of toast). Baking involves setting the top knob to the temperature, the 2nd from the top knob to a diagonal square with bars (which is the same as the horizontal square with bars in the legend on the glass which is supposed to be a piece of cake), then use the 2nd from the bottom timer (not the bottom timer) to set the time. The timer knobs are a little stiff, but feel like high quality. My family can figure it out, but I'm concerned that if someone comes to visit, unless they're a computer scientist, they won't be able to figure out how to make toast.

Chickens and Pizza - Yes. Toast - Maybe
My initial observations and impressions: First, let me say I bought a toaster oven mainly to make toast - Toasted bread. Back in 1990 when I had a Black and Decker under-counter toaster oven, used almost exclusively to make toast, I was very happy with it. But, that was then, and toaster ovens seem to have changed a lot in the last twenty five years. I should have shopped in a more informed way. The purpose of this appliance is not, apparently, to make toasted bread. The interior volume is rather large, intended for roasting and broiling various dishes (this model also has a rotisserie.) The result is that the distance between the heating elements and middle position rack are too far for efficient toasting of bread - It takes too long, and the bread is dried out by the time it's toasted. Some people might like their toast crispy-crunchy, but this is a bit too dry for my liking, and there seems no way to get around the problem. As I said, it's my fault for not understanding what I was buying. One other thing: I notice that my choices were limited by the apparent uniformity of design and materials available. It looks to me like there are some widely manufactured and available components that the various manufacturers are using to produce their toaster ovens. You can easily see that most of them (or all?) have very similar controls. I did try to find a toaster oven that looked more like the one I had so long ago, but all I saw was one after another similar units, so I finally just bought one of them. It is possible that manufacturers have decided to divide their products into toaster ovens intended for roasting and broiling and heating, and a separate product line specifically intended to toast bread - The actual "Toaster," pop-up style that we're all familiar with. So, that's what I'll buy now to solve the problem, and I'll probably sell or give this oven to someone. I looked at the available "professional" and "commercial" pop up type toasters on some restaurant supply websites and see they are very expensive - Like $150 - $350. This suggests to me that a pop up type toaster of good quality is likely not available in the consumer markets. Not sure I want to spend that kind of money for a toaster, and I'm sure if I buy a cheap one I'll be disappointed with the quality and longevity of it. One other thing: I'm going to go back to searching the toaster ovens offered here on Amazon to see if I can find one that is suited to toasting bread. Maybe I overlooked one that will satisfy my requirements.

Quieter and Faster Heating Than My Previous
Works better than I expected for an oven at this price. 11” pizza cooks well on convection. No non-stick coating so I placed tinfoil at the bottom for easy clean up. Very satisfied

I decided on the best of the worst
I spent an entire week, and hours on end doing non-stop shopping around online looking at a ton of websites and reviews before deciding on this toaster oven. What I've realized is that no toaster oven has it all. I decided on the best of the worst, if you will; as in I got one that has the pluses that matter the most to me, and the minuses I could deal with. I guess my issues with this particular model are about the same as others have stated: The knobs can be confusing, but after some use, I've gotten used to them. The door doesn't open completely, where the handle is touching the countertop, making it difficult to get the crumb tray out to clean. I haven't found this to be a big issue. Also, it has no preheat feature, or light that stays on while in use. But almost no toaster oven I've looked at has that, and I looked at lot of them! If one did have an inside oven light, it was lacking something else. I keep my crumb tray covered with a piece of foil to make cleaning easier. One thing I did realize, was that my whole roasted chickens come out better by me just baking them as opposed to using the skewer and attachments that come with this to do it rotisserie style. When I used the rotisserie, I couldn't get an even browned color, or as dark as I wanted. So the second time, I just took the tray that comes with it, covered it in foil, sat the small rack on top it, and after seasoning my (two pound) chicken, put it on the rack and baked at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes. The drippings fell down onto the foil, which I removed after baking, making clean-up a snap. No worries. I've baked a 12" pizza in it as well, but have kept my serious baking like cakes and brownies in my regular oven. When this oven is in use, what gets the HOTTEST is the glass door, with the sides coming in second; the handle and top of it get just warm, and the top more so than the handle. Purchase it, you won't regret it. And I'm an avid cook and baker, with pickiest of personalities. I only took off one star for the knobs drama, and the rotisserie not being the perfection I expected.

A very good addition
So after having 2 mini ovens that broke on me in a 6 year span, I changed it up and boy am I glad. Pros: Easy to clean, nice and spacious, removable rack, gets the job done and I can take out the bottom try to clean it. Cons: The top gets really hot so watch out, the bottoms are hard to read but once you get used to what is back and toast you can do it I your sleep. I also find myself when cooking/baking that top rack has to come out, if I put anything up there it burns because it is so close to the Element. Other that that so far so good oh and I have yet to use the Rotisserie part

It can cook a small roast, bake biscuits, pizza, etc
I bought this through Amazon Warehouse Deals so I paid significantly less than advertised. It works well. At first it seemed to operate below the indicated temperature, but after a couple week's break in the temperature is quite accurate now. The knobs are a bit small and hard to turn with wet hands, and that is my only complaint. It can cook a small roast, bake biscuits, pizza, etc. It uses a lot less power than my full size oven and is perfect for cooking small meals. I like it.

Good size/quality
A bit finicky to figure out the controls. However overall a very good toaster, I like all metal construction and analog timers. The top heats but not too hot, sides I would say don't heat at all. Does not smell burning, make sure to remove ALL packaging throughout (I accidentally left 1 small piece of styrofoam inside, of course it smelled like burning on the first run). The tray fits into the grooves, I would prefer it to simply go on the top of the rack instead. Easy to clean. One of the best features - makes 1 little bell sound and THAT'S IT! Does not make dead wake up and come to turn it off or smack it with an ax like most of modern devices :-)

Rotisserie works great
The media could not be loaded. Bought this for the rotisserie function. Seems to be working alright. Ur bird has to be small to medium size otherwise, you'll end up rubbing the skin on the heating elements. You also need to re tie the chicken. The strings that they came with is too loose. I have been using it to reheat left overs instead of using the microwave. Very handy making kids snacks like nuggets, sweet potato fries, mozza sticks, and pizza pops. I ditched my toaster as I dnt need it anymore. With this one, I can toast a whole garlic bread. And I also freed some counter space. Its a good little appliance for the price.
