Good product for the price

Overall satisfied with its performance. Tho, battery life it just ok. This is the second unit I've purchased, mainly because the 2nd one was on sale. Also wanted to replace another B&D unit which was older and doesn't use the same filters as this one. Getting tired of buying two different types of filters for two vacuums :)

Handy and simple little vacuum!

I liked the price, because I was going to keep in my camper. When I tested it for vacuuming up dead flies, millers, and wasps I found that it did a great job. It doesn't have the power of an expensive hand-held that we keep at the house, but it's light weight, handy, and because it's kept charged in its holder, it's always ready to go.

Great vacuum!

I have 4 dogs and a cat so I’m constantly finding balls of hair and dirt around my house. I saw this vacuum when it was on sale and thought it would be perfect for getting those hair balls quickly without having to pull the big bulky vacuum out of the closet. It charges fast and keeps its charge for a significant amount of time too. It even extends on the end making it easy to fit into corners and crevices

Great power and battery life A++

This thing sucks, a lot better than our "nicer looking" solution. We have a "nicer looking" equivalent sitting on a shelf in our Kitchen for quick cleanups, and while it does the trick for those things, it is far inferior to this. The Dustbuster seems to have a noticeable amount more suction and lasts significantly longer. We're able to use this for much larger cleaning areas, run it for longer, and get better results. It kind of makes our other one obsolete/useless. I would certainly recommend this unit, especially for the price.

Love it!

The Black+Decker Vacuum is amazing! It's perfect for cleaning up all the little messes I make around the house. It's compact, lightweight, and has strong suction power that easily picks up crumbs, dust, and debris. The crevice tool and brush attachments are also very handy for cleaning tight spaces and upholstery. The bagless design makes it easy to empty the dustbin, and the washable bowl and filter make it easy to keep the vacuum clean. I highly recommend this vacuum for anyone who wants a convenient tool for cleaning up small messes.

Where has this been all my life? ;P

This thing is SO USEFUL. I don't know how I've gone 27 years without having one of these, lol! Eliminates the need for a dust pan when sweeping, makes cleanup of kiddos' lunch mess SO quick and easy, perfect for stairs...love it! It has awesome suction power. They ONLY con is that you have to actually hold down the power button to run it--there isn't an on/off switch per se.

Good for the price!

This vacuum doesn’t have a ton of power but it is just right for what I use it for. I use it to vacuum up my hair in the bathroom after getting ready and for cat little around the box. I would recommend it if you have simple jobs like mine.

Cheap but decent

It sounds like a child's toy and seems pretty cheap but works well. I have a feeling it won't last very long but decent for the cost

Excellent for the price

Very good vacuum overall, the suction power is okay for most of debris that i need to pickup such as cat hairs, girlfriend hairs and cat litter pellets. This wonderful tool avoids me to take out my big Electrolux vaccum on a daily basis. The battery could last longer but that probably explains why the ON button needs to be held for the vacuum to run (to avoid you to run it non-stop and drain the battery instantly). I estimate a running time of 5-7 minutes per charge, not more. If you want to clean your whole home with it you will lack battery time as it isn’t designed for that. I think that the retractable nozzle is somewhat useless and very hard to pull out and back in, it feels like its gonna break so i leave mine always in. The thin shape of the dust container also traps some dust that are hard to remove when cleaning it (not really dramatic though). So overall im really satisfied of it for 40$ it does well what im expecting it to do and is a real time/energy saver and makes my home floors alot cleaner. The noise level is also relatively low which is also a positive thing. Good product i use it at least 2-3 times per day to pickup most of the visible particules/hairs on my floors

Perfect Handheld Vacuum

Wanted a mobile handheld vacuum to use around the house (for picking up dust and hair) and in the car. The suction is strong and the durability is perfect, however, wished the battery would last a bit longer. It seems to last about 20-25 mins (haven't actually timed it) and the suction reduces towards the end of the battery life. Takes several hours to re-charge back to full capacity. With all that being said, it still works and does what we expect from it, however, if it lasted longer, it would make it amazing. Not sure how it compares to other handheld vacuums, but Black+Decker has been around for a very long time and so I felt the quality has to be good. The price was very reasonable, which made the purchasing decision very easy. Have been using this for about 6 months and is still working great!

Best bang for your buck!

Had the vacuum for a few days now, and it's exactly what I needed! Live with my girlfriend in a ~900sqft 1bed apt, and we were looking for something to spotclean occasionally that's not our monstrous plug-in. Our dream is a Dyson, but definitely overkill in price right now. So we decided to give this B&D cordless a shot, and for $40CAD, it's PERFECT for our small apartment. USE CASE Love using this after we cook a big meal, and every couple of days on the bathroom where hairs get everywhere... and just dusty places in general! Unless you have a 400sqft studio, this will not be sufficient for a comprehensive clean of your house, but great for getting those couch crumbs and just errant dust and whatever. It makes a huge difference! SUCTION & BATTERY Haven't noticed anything that it can't do, but we don't make big messes and don't have pets. Hair, crumbs, and dust goes right in. The vacuum is triggered by a button on your thumb, so you can be pretty efficient with battery usage—there's no noticeable "start-up lag", stuff pretty much comes in right when you press the button. I did a session yesterday going pretty hard for about 10 minutes, and didn't notice a dropoff. EMPTYING & FILTER The filter is kind of a pain to clean. All the stuff clumps on the filter and you have to remove it by hand at minimum every other time you do a serious vacuum. You can't just shake it off. The filter is re-washable with soap and hot water, and they say to replace it every 6-9 months. SPACE/STORAGE We rent our apt, so we're being hesitant right now about wall-mounting, but it's fine just setting it horizontally on the ground as well to charge. There's no "plug in" charge option—you have to use the dock, which is a little tricky at first but pretty stable even lying flat. VALUE At time of purchase this was $40 without coupons, and it's starting to seem like a huge deal compared to everything else which is either from an unproven Chinese brand. Only question is longevity, but if this thing lasts at least a year with decent suction, everything else will be a bonus. Thanks to B&D for making such an affordable and useful product!
