Great Glass but two were defective

Received the martini glasses, but two were defective around the rim. I will just use the two glasses for decorative candy/nut dishes instead of sending all six back. Otherwise great size martini glasses.

Unfortunately 1 glass out of 6 was defective.

These are large martini glasses. Probably more useful for cocktails served in martini glasses rather than actual martinis. Things like "espresso martinis" etc. The glass is somewhat fragile and lightweight so keep that in mind if you don't treat your glassware delicately. They are nice looking. Unfortunately 1 of the 6 glasses was defective. There was a sharp sort of bubble on the rim of the glass, making it unusable. Amazon took care of me but could not just replace 1 glass. I didn't want to return the entire set and Amazon was understanding. I'd buy the set again. My defect is just dumb luck. I rated a 3 because of durability seems lacking and the defect. But they could be closer to a 4. If I remember I'll update after using them a bit. Is it 12 ounces, or 9 or 10? Depends really. I used my Oxo jigger and measured it. I filled the oxo all the way to 1 ounce, with it almost bubbling out, only held in by surface tension. So my 1 ounce may have been a tiny bit more. Hard to say. You may think it's full at 9 ounces and complain but you'll be surprised to see if you add 3 more ounces slowly it won't start to spill out until the 12 ounce. I don't think people realize how much the wide top holds. It may look almost full at 9 ounces but there is more room. In any case as I said, great for big flavored martini like cocktails. If you are making vodka or gin martini buy a 5 ounce set and fill to 4 plus garnish.

Pretty, sturdy, 12 ounces and great price

I sat on the computer reading and reading, searching for the perfect martini glass; size, durability, appearance, 6 count and price. I finally found these and after looking for so long I was frustrated and thought I’ll just try these, they looked good. I’m so happy I did. The price was right. They arrived in one day! I must say, I was surprised! They are traditional in shape and solid and sturdy yet very pretty and comfortable. I didn’t want them to be to dainty because I wanted to actually use them with friends and not care that they were my fine glasses. I wanted the larger size to accommodate an extra shot and to comfortably line the rim with an assorted drink treat such as chocolate or sugar. We put the ounce size to the test and with water molecular bonds, it held a perfect 12 Ounces at the rim. So glad I bought these. Exactly what I was looking for.

Libby has corrected packaging problems

Several of the bad reviews listed are because of leakage and poor packaging. I think Libby got the message. I just bought my second set of these ( the first set came through broken and I refused the delivery) and the box was as heavy duty as what my washing machine came in. Very, very sturdy outside box and each glass was in it's own slot in the box, sectioned off like a case of liquor bottles would be only the separators fastened to the sides of the box and at least 4-5 times heavier cardboard. The glasses were covered on top and on bottom inside of the box by a very heavy cardboard insert. So put the breakage problem aside and enjoy these really nice glasses

NOT 12 ounces!

The first thing you need to know about these glasses: they don't hold 12 ounces! Filled to the brim they barely hold 10 ounces. Which is okay, after the last batch of glasses I ordered that supposedly held 8 ounces didn't even hold 6 ounces, I was prepared. These glasses are perfect for a large double martini: 4 ounces of gin, 1 ounce of vermouth, and two big olives. The glasses are good looking and so far, are very sturdy. I don't understand why glass companies over state the capacities of their product by 10 to 15%.

Large, and a decent price

I filled one up to the top and poured it into a measuring cup- exactly 9 fluid oz. Good for filling half way to give yourself some room for “slosh” while walking or serving. Quality seems good, but they do have that lip around the edge that is indicative of cheaper glassware. Totally expected in this price range. Good value at this price.

Husband Loves these!

I personally do not like Martini's. My husband loves them! When we moved his martini glasses disappeared into the black hole of moving! LOL! Anyway, I ordered these for him and for the price he says they are perfect!
