Carbonation Escaped
I got this cup to include in my emergency bugout kit. It will work perfect for that but I am also going to use it for hiking, camping and street fair attending. Bonus - my cat doesn't mind drinking out of the lid, so I can bugout with her and not worry about keeping her hydrated. Pro: Bigger by far than a puny little collapsible camping cup. Con: If you don't extend all the rings to their fullest you get drips between the rings (carbonation seems to enhance this dripping). Pro: There's a learning curve to the extending technique but once you get it you got it. Con: There's a learning curve to the extending technique and you get dribbles until you learn it. Pro: Clean up is a breeze. Con: It feels delicate, like it might crack under the rigors of a ride in a day-hiker's pack. Pro: I haven't broken it yet (even while I was learning how) while extending all the rings. Pro: It doesn't add any noticeable weight to my purse or backpack. Pro: The "cool" factor you get when you snap out your own pint glass at a street fair is awesome. P.S. I'm going to buy some more of these.

Weeping pints
The write up say's "just a flick of the wrist". It does take just a bit more to get the rings to set in place. Even when tight there still a few spots where liquid still slowly weeps out. 1-2 drops per min.

Use while sober!
Great idea but this does have to be fully extended to insure the cup will not leak. This isn't hard to do but once your out drinking there's nothing really to do with the lid other than shoving back in your pocket. I wish the lid was able to attach to the base to catch any small leaks that may come.

Relatively Satisfied
This is a pretty basic item...a collapsible glass for traveling. I have not yet used it (wish I would have read some of the critical reviews before I bought it!) and don't know how soon I will. I hope it is serviceable and does not leak, as others have noted.

Good Thing I only tried water
I know enough to try water with anything that is 'collapsable' first try leaked everywhere. Thought okay maybe I did not put enough oomf into it, so I got it firmly upright, within 20 seconds one drop after one sip continuous drops every 5-10 seconds. good For water on the go, but I wouldn't put anything sticky in it, there is a collection tray at the bottom to collect the leaks which is nice, until you take a sip and spill it everywhere, or make it a fly oasis if outside (which is kinda the point)

What could be better for "on the boat" day drinking than a collapsible pint glass? I love that we can toss it into the beach bag or cooler and not worry about it! Best gift ever!

This glass leaked.
This glass leaked regardless of how much I extended it or tightened. It was for travel so I did not use it immediately and the return window closed before I could return it. Very disappointing.
