INPROPER GLAZING
I had one of these in red & white and LOVED IT, but the plain white one was a few dollars cheaper! I figured why pay extra just to have the color... I PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE bought the red & white as the white only one around the inside rim where the lid sits has NO LACQUER just PLAIN CERAMIC so everything is going to stick and and stain as well as things getting into pours of ceramic???? I just am not going to make the effort of returning as I rarely leave my house! Just will not purchase from this company again...

Essential Item for the Kitchen
A good looking piece of serving ware that is oven and dish washer safe. Good buy and good price .

Very good quality
I was searching for a casserole dish that would fit into my toaster convection oven. This was perfect. It cooks and cleans easily and I would definitely buy it again.

Glaze is sloppy! RECOMMEND DO NOT PURCHASE
Ok - received this by accident as the other BIA casserole dish was having troubles getting to me. My review comes from being a long-time cook and baker. Have vintage CorningWare and its awesome! Had tried other CorningWare from Amazon but the product is no longer made in US (made in China) and significantly less quality (I returned). Thought a Cordon Bleu brand would be better - but it's same poor quality (made in China). This dish has major glaze runs...hope you can see in pic....focus in on the bottom middle of the second picture and you'll see a glaze runs - they are all over inside. The glaze also has little pinpricks all over (inside and out) like the factory was dirty when the glaze was sprayed. The glaze runs are bad, but the biggest "nope" for me it is not glazed around where the lid sits and because it is even all the way around (maybe 3/4") Zoom in on the first picture on the left side of it where one can see is part of the rim. It looks like it perhaps made that way on purpose? But why? The unglazed will get stained and catch food. Even on my vintage CorningWare casserole bakeware which is completely smooth and glazed can sometimes catch stains/baked on food and need scrubbing. Don't EVEN want to imagine what this BIA casserole dish would do with a tomato based dished...shuddering here. Finally, it doesn't seem to be made of quality porcelain but a ceramic but I'm not an expert at all. However, the weight and feel seems off (again comparing to my vintage white CorningWare).. So back this goes. I think i'll be looking on eBay and other places for vintage CorningWare. Will post a review on CorningWare with pictures contrasting the quality of US made vs. China made. Over the past few years, now look to see where dishes, bakeware, etc. is made. Have noticed if made in China, it's poor quality (gets hot when it shouldn't, poor glazing, etc.) Highly suggest you pass on purchasing. If you are a baker/cook, look elsewhere and especially if these product brands, where you can inspect in a store..

Poor lid removal ruins otherwise great baker.
Overall, it’s the perfect size, it’s easy to clean, it really does the job. The kid is impossible to get off. The top knob thing doesn’t have enough space for even bare fingers, much less a potholder. I always have to jam a knife of fork under the lid and catch it before it falls.
