Quality purchase

Used for winter chill, liked the thickness of the beanie material. Probably the only thing I don’t like is I have to remove every now and then because it works so good. I would definitely purchase again or recommend this head piece.

Warm stretchy hat

My teenage son has outgrown all of his hats and actually asked for one. He wanted something warm, simple with no big logo on it. When I asked what else he wanted,, whether a beanie or a cuffed hat he shrugged and left the rest of the details up to me. I picked this at because it has Thinsulate in it so it is warmer than a standard knit hat and because it looked like it would stretch out and fit him for years. It is a thinner hat despite the thinsulate so it will fit in his bag a bit better. Also the pattern is thin and so it really don’t yell that its like a knitted hat which I thought he’d appreciate. I had heard fo TYR for swimming apparel but never knew they made winter hats. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my son is pleased with this hat. It is soft enough, breathable, non-itchy, and stretchy. There are no issues with construction such as missed stitches or pulls. It fits him well and sits tightly against his head so cold air doesn’t get up inside. He did put pick on the hat slightly but just putting it on the top of his head without pulling it down and folding up the cuff and it does look silly, but it looks nice when worn as intended. I guess he can joke around and be silly with his friends but when worn as intended he likes the hat. One thing he did like is that he can fold the cuff as high as he wants to change up the look. We ordered the black hat with the black logo (it does have a TYR logo but the lettering is also in black so it is not very apparent). We also like that it is machine washable and made in the USA. Overall, very pleased with this beanie.

Well made, warm, works for us

Fair discloser, I am a swim coach and mother to 5 competitive swimmers. I know that it is hard to get swimmers to wear these caps . . . at least female swimmers. But it really is helpful when it's cold and they have wet hair (ack, when did my mom start writing this!?!) This hat arrived bagged. The hat is sized nicely and has the right amount of stretch to be comfortable for my tweens and teens, as well as myself. The knit is tight and well made, there were no pulls, and the yarn is very soft. It seems to keep us warmer than the hats with a loose knit. The color is a nice solid black without any grey, green or brown undertones. I like the wide cuff as it allows you to adjust it a bit for height (like if they have the bun on the top of their head) but the leather tyr patch does limit how you can fold it up. I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws.

Warm Cuffed Beanie

The TYR Insulated Cuffed Beanie is definitely warm enough for the cold winter months coming up soon. This beanie feels good, and is well made. All the stitching is done well and this beanie will hold up in the washing machine. I have already washed it twice. My head is somewhere between a medium and large size, and it fits me just barely. If you have a large head, this beanie may be a bit tight. As far as effectiveness in keeping my head warm, this beanie does the job well.

Been great this winter

My husband works mostly in the outdoors. He is always looking for ways to keep his head and ears warm. This is his preferred type of hat. This one fits him well and he says it is keeping his head nice and warm. Soft material. Slightly thick. Easy to wash and dry.

Comfortable and Warm

I ordered this insulated beanie to wear for hiking. I like that it is reasonably thin while still having some insulation. As a 6 foot tall man, it is a little bit snug on first use but it seems to be stretching out and will be perfectly comfortable. I expect it would be a good fit for most adults. The beanie is pretty warm. I plan on using it for hiking and walking in the winter so I didn't want something too warm but wanted enough insulation to keep our the wind and cold. I think this will be perfect for what I'm wanting. I like that the TYR logo on the cap isn't nearly as prominent is the pictures show. You generally don't notice it at all. Overall very happy with the "TYR Unisex Insulated Cuffed Beanie" for the price. It seems like it will be great for this winter and many more.

Excellent beanie

Very comfortable (and very warm) beanie! Keeps the dome nice and warm, and while it's a little tight, I've noticed that it's getting a bit more loosened up over time (or I'm just getting used to it.) That said, I have a lot of hats/beanies, and over time they tend to get more loose (until they drop over my ears/eyes and need to be replaced), so I'd expect the same to be here. Warm noggin, no itching, very comfortable, and Made in the USA. Great overall beanie, would recommend.
