Not bad if you are prepared for it

The huge surface is great, and the ceramic non stick is decent, but far from the best I own. The lack of a high edge makes it super easy to do thin items like crêpes, or get under delicate items like fish fillets. I’ve slid a number of things right off the back just trying to slide a spatula under them. Just be careful, the outer rim is hot, I’ve caught my knuckles and wrist a few times, with my old electric griddle the front and sides had plastic on the edge, so you would hit that first. But the main issue this suffers from is temperature control. Like all the electric griddles out there these days it just has a single loop heating element, but because of the larger surface, the difference between the temperature right above that and elsewhere is even higher. So you will need to move things around some to get even cooking. But nearly every electric griddle has that issue…. What really sets this one apart is that (at least the one I bought) is also wildly inaccurate on the settings dial! While I don’t expect super fine grained control given the style of the control scheme, I do expect it to be at least close. It isn’t. By a very long shot. With the unit set so that the pointer is aimed at the middle 0 of 300, and given 10 minutes to preheat, the surface temperature ranges from 410°F to 430°. Yeah, over 100° off! It cycles down to 370° or so before kicking back on. By contrast my 30+ year old Presto tends to be 20° under the setting, and cycles through maybe a 40° range. I suspect this has a lot to do with the folks giving this such bad reviews for burning food. Especially if they are so used to an older one they have just replaced that they don’t think about what temp to use, just that they always needed to put their old one at a given number, which may not be what they are actually cooking at. And as others have noted, the quality control on assembly is not super high... one of the screws that holds the base to the underside of the cooking surface is stripped out and loose, so the handle wiggles a bit and you can't tighten it any.

Great griddle

I had an older griddle that was beginning to be hard to clean, then my husband dropped it and broke 1 of the handles. I looked at all available griddles and chose it. First, Amazon had it as a choice prime griddle. After looking at all of the choices, this seemed to the the best. I have used it many times am am very happy! It lives up to all I had hoped for it to be. i have had no problem with this griddle, it is lightweight and so easy to clean. I am now glad that my old griddle was broken. I would definitely recommend this griddle!

Good size

Used for a brunch. This was a good size for making different foods however hard to make eggs on it. Must pore scrambled eggs slow or they end up in the overflow drain. Then they are already cooking before you can start scrambling them. Otherwise it was good for pancakes and other things.

Griddle

I like the fact it's easy to clean. I find that it doesn't heat evenly across the entire griddle. Things tend to take a longer time to cook in some spots and burn in others.

This will save your life

This griddle is amazing! I don’t normally write reviews but this thing saves you so much time between not having to scrub and wash pots and pans and it’s large enough where you can cook your food all at once. Great price for the quality too. I am so happy with my purchase

Best Griddle

I am so impressed with the size and quality of this griddle. I made my family a big pancake dinner at a fraction of the time it usually takes me with a regular pan. It was so easy to clean, which is a huge bonus for busy parents. Great purchase!

Great griddle!

I like the size of the griddle because I can cook bacon and eggs at the same time, so it's ready at the same time. The heat is distributed evenly but with force. It gets hot enough to make pancakes quickly. Cleaning is quick and easy.

Even heat, quality copper finish, excellent standards

The media could not be loaded. I've been enjoying this xl Bella griddle regularly for many months and it always bakes perfect pancakes, crepes, french toast, etc. Wonderful heating throughout surface, solid surface with quality copper coating, well made! I must have returned about 15 griddles from other brands because of terrible workmanship and quality, but I happily stumbled upon this BELLA grill and I'm very very pleased.

Defective QA

While the product works as intended, and the no stick coating is great, the produce came to me with some screws not fully seated, or not with the correct screws installed, and some were just loose in the box. Not acceptable for the price of this product. more care is needed in your QA department. Note: I will not be returning this product, but I will repair it at my expense.
