Not exactly the same as the older Bell part

I used these to replace 3 old Bell switch covers on a dock that had deteriorated due to sun and salt exposure. They worked fine on two of the 3 switches but I couldn't get any of the new covers to work on one switch no matter how much I futzed with it. The lever on the old switches were red rather than grey and it looked like the shape of the fork that actually switches the switch is a slightly different shape

Great water tight cover for an outside switch.

This fits perfectly with a standard house light switch. It works great and is water tight. I had a switch cover I'd used before that was terrible. It required you to cutoff about half the length of the switch toggle to use it. This one worked with no issues at all. Completely pleased!

Hubbell-Bell PTC100GY Weatherproof Vertical Box Mount Nonmetallic Toggle Cover, 1-Gang, Gray This item replaced a Carlon brand cover that had serious sun-deterioration after facing due east for 10 years. See Customer Image. The Hubbell appears identical to the Carlon, except for the name on the plate. It's mounted on a standard depth metal weatherproof box with a standard single gang switch (the kind used in any house). Quality is A-OK, except it comes with galvanized screws which would rust in no time IF mounted outside. I reused the 6/32 stainless steel pan head screws from 10 years earlier, which still looked new. One star off for supplying screws that would rust. Screws should only be tightened to the point that they hold the cover on. Over-tightening could bend the cover inward, strip the threads or crack the plastic.

Easy to install, fits standard single-gang "Bell" box

What can I say? I've installed hundreds of these in my career. Takes less than five minutes to install. Non-conductive weatherproof cover, fits standard switch and single gang "bell" box. Allows you to operate switch without opening cover. Padlock provision allows you to lock the switch in either On or Off position. . I would have given it a 5, except it should have stainless steel screws. It has four 6-32 x 1" filister head screws, which you can buy at any hardware store.

Didn't work for me

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get this to work with my switch, as soon as I put this cover on, it turns off the switch and I can't flip it back on. too bad I already trashed the packaging and I can't return it. will try the old fashion type instead.

Seems water tight! Works GREAT

I use mine with the older version of the G.E. z-wave switch, it works great the signal is able to go through the plastic and the switch is activated by the housing well. This doesn't seem to have any spring action of it's own so your switch will need to be solid, and not worn out. For my application I want it to be able to stay in the center, so this is PERFECT!
