Protect your home/apt

This is so easy to use. Nothing to assemble. It can be used on your front door, or you can remove the claw end of it and use to to secure your windows. Extremely sturdy material, and easily adjusts for all sizes of windows, doors or sliding glass doors. Under 12.00 makes this a real steal!

A win for home security!

The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying this security bar is definitely worth consideration. The purpose of purchasing this is to add an extra level of protection to your home and give you a better chance at protecting you, your loved ones, and property. The security bar comes in a nice box with simple instructions. To set it up, you push the button at the bottom, rotate the bar, slide up until you reach the right length, and lock in place. Once the right length has been found, you simply lodge against the door and you are good to go. I want to note a few things: - This security bar is not the be-all end-all of added security. When lodged up against the door, this is not meant to stop a linebacker or police from coming into your front door. The purpose is to deter potential burglars and provide you another layer to security in alerting you of a possible break-in. Presuming thieves want to break into your home quietly, it is not easy to do so as seen in the video. Additionally, any noise that is made would alert you and give you added time to prepare to run or defend yourself. - That being said, you must lodge the security bar against the door at an angle for the best results in my observation. To make this more effective, I push in the rubber stopper at the bottom, which creates more resistance when trying to open the door. - The security bar can be used to lock a sliding balcony door or patio door, you simply adjust the length and it works the same. Overall, I really enjoy this and will buy again when the time comes.

Test the item if your life depends on it!

The foot base seem to slip on hardwood floor. It seems sturdy, but it has not been tested for a real life scenario. It is wise to pair this item with a baseball bat for extra support if the door knob gives in....

Works amazing!

Only received it yesterday and I’m glad I did! A repair man, who had a key to my apartment from my landlord, came to my apartment this morning while I was asleep. I had no idea he was suppose to come today, let alone in the morning, but the security bar kept him out! He had unlocked the door and started excessively knocking because he couldn’t get through, which woke me up finally. Would recommend if you live alone.

Great little gadget

Works like a charm. I'm not sure what type of flooring other people have but we have tile in front of our door and this thing sticks and holds under the handle. What's even better is it stops the handle from even turning when propped up. Husband has tested it and had to stop as he didn't want to break the door. This along with a motion alarm has us covered.

As Advertised!

This security bar fits the patio doors perfectly and prevents any unwanted intruders. Easy to expand or shorten and blends well with surrounding white trim. Highly recommend this product!

Excellent for peace of mind when at home

Very easy to use, had to put a rug by the door though because it is really meant to be used on carpet. Found it slid a bit on bare tile floor. Tested it and door does not budge at all with this on. Literally takes seconds to get it on and off the door, so not worried about getting stuck in my apartment or anything. The area I live in is pretty bad, this really helps me sleep better at night.
