Extremely happy with purchase
My expectations were somewhat low but I went ahead and gave it a try as I read some of the reviews. I am so happy I decided to make this purchase. Will be buying two more for other areas of the house. Installation instructions were not very clear but the most important thing is DO NOT CUT THE ZIP TIE HOLDING THE SWINGING GATE TO THE REST OF THE FRAME. if you do, you will need to either install another zip tie or use a clamp to hold it together. It uses pressure to maintain proper alignment and that pressure will come from the walls after you install it between. Until then you need the zip tie installed. Once installed, If you tighten it too much against the wall, it will not let the gate open. You have to find the right balance between enough pressure to hold it securely in place but not too much pressure that it doesn’t let the gate swing. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN THE FOUR PRESSURE PADS AGAINST THE WALLS as the gate will not open. Adjust the upper and lower pads until you find the perfect balance between secure mounting and perfect function. I have a medium sized dog that I am introducing to our cats and I wanted to make sure the cats can get through it easily but not the dog so I installed it about 8” off the ground. The cats can go under and the dog can’t. Also raising it off the ground insures that the dog can’t jump over it. To summarize…if you need a gate to separate pets or the keep them out of parts of the house this gate is perfect. Works great and has a quality feel to it. Definitely does NOT feel cheap or poorly made. Highly recommend!!!!!

Very easy to install and use
This gate works perfectly to keep our dog out of the hallway that leads to our bedrooms. Gate was super easy to install (doesn't require screwing anything in) and works well. It auto-closes and locks. However, in our case we usually just close it slowly so it's not locked but still keeps our dog out, making it easier to open when we go through it. By leaving it "almost closed" on the side the dog is on, any pressure the dog puts on the gate will just close/lock it completely, so it works out fine for us. This is a great price for a gate of this quality.

Does what's expected
The gate is the perfect height to keep my pup out of trouble. The door has an automatic shut function as long as you aren't opening it at it's capacity. Sleek look and easy to install. Loving it.

Perfect for larger stairwell
Love this baby gate will be getting a second one for the hallway too, we have larger than normal stairwell area and this gate is perfect for it.

Can’t seem to be able to add an extra extension.

Working great to keep the pets downstairs
We have this gate installed at the bottom of our stairs. One side is against a stair spindle and the other against the wall. After 48 hours it is holding firm. Took less than 5 minutes to install and it's easy for everybody to open and self closes.
