Perfect cross between thickness to keep baby warm without over heating. Took awhile to find the best sleep suit for us. Will say the price has escalated a good bit since the first one I bought but it is worth it

actually like a blanket

As a first-time mom with very little experience with babies, I had no idea that blankets in cribs were a no-no until I became pregnant and learned that Halo sleepsacks were considered the holy grail of infant bedding. So of course I added them to my registry in every size. However, when I received the sleepsacks as gifts (both cotton and fleece) I was completely underwhelmed. I was expecting that something that is supposed to be replacing a blanket to be, well, actually like a blanket. I found the Halo sacks to be sort of pointless, particularly the cotton one. I enjoy a nice, heavy blanket on me when I sleep and expect my baby would be comforted by the same.The other sleepsacks were nothing like the many beautiful blankets I received as gifts that I was only going to be able to use during the day with supervision, and not at night when they were really needed. My baby's room is the coldest in the house, probably due to broken seals in the window. So it was important that we found something to keep her warm. This bag came up in my searches and I figured I would give it a try. When it came I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually thick and fluffy like a real blanket. My baby's room is usually around 66-69 degrees F at night and this keeps her warm and comfy. I put her in a terry cloth or cotton sleeper underneath. She sleeps through the night. She is 3 months old but long for her age and I ordered the medium. It fits perfectly on her upper body, there is no way it can ride up and cover her face. The length is very long but I think that is great because she can grow into it. And blankets are supposed to be oversized - so this just seems natural to me that it is so long. The snaps are absolutely wonderful - a feature I didn't realize I needed until I had it. There have been many times that I have put her down for a nap or bedtime and didn't get her in her sleepsack beforehand. This is so convenient to not have to guide her arms through the sleeves. I can snap her up easily without waking her up. The zipper is large and easy to use. The pink butterfly pattern is very sweet. The material of the sleepsack is thick and soft. It is very high quality and well worth the price. I have washed it several times and there is no shrinkage or wear. This is a great item that I imagine will last until my daughter is old enough to use an actual blanket. I'm very happy with this purchase. UPDATE: My daughter is now 13 months old and I am back to purchase another one of these in size large. After being washed countless times, it is still in great condition (and will be saved just in case another baby ever comes along). My daughter is almost 32 inches long so she's getting too tall for the medium, although the rest of it still fits fine. I used this sleepsack most of the last year except in the heat of summer. For spring and fall I just adjusted the clothing I dressed her underneath - usually just a long-sleeved onesie. For the summer I purchased a Baby Deedee "lite" sleepsack, which turned out to be great as well. I am past the point of worrying about her sleeping with blankets, but she moves around so much when she sleeps a blanket never stays on. With this, she can be cozy and warm all night no matter how much she moves. After heavy use, I'm very impressed with the quality and functionality of this item. I was hesitant to purchase at first because of the price but I can now definitely say it is worth it.

This was the end of my very long search for a REAL winter sleep sack. Our house is old and very drafty so my baby would wake up cold.. not to mention she was very spoiled from hanging out on mommy & daddies comfy bed. Expecting her to sleep through the night on that hard as rock baby crib mattress was a joke. I bought all the big brand sacks that claimed to be "for winter" and they were literally a piece of cloth... When I bought this one I was soooo happy. Not only is the material very soft it's also very blanket/comforter like to the point I can be comfortable/confident with laying my baby in it with just a shirt and diaper on knowing she will be warm all night! She started sleeping through the night! I recommend this sleep sack to all my friends and family! She's 1 1/2 now and in the large size ????

Thick & warm

My toddler is 18m, 29.5lbs and 34in tall and this fits her great with plenty of room to grow. It’s definitely thick & warm enough for her room which frequently gets down to like 62-63 in the winter. My only complaint is the design, I don’t like the button straps because sometimes they’ll come undone in her sleep and she’ll be able to wiggle out of it.

So soft! Perfect weight

Wonderful. We needed a heavier tog for the winter and this one does the trick. Our son reps so much better through the night! Very soft, easy to put on, easy to wash, honestly zero complaints.

Warm enough for very cool rooms, but not too hot

Love this. I have been planning on getting my 8 month old out of my bed and sleeping in his crib that is located in our room for now. Our room stays very cool (67-68 Fahrenheit) at night plus’s our fan is on high. I was afraid of him getting too cool. Bought this and it’s perfect. I will mention he is currently wearing a helmet to correct a flat spot on his head so that keeps him warmer than normal so I didn’t want anything too hot. He sleeps great with a long sleeve onesie underneath. It’s perfect and keeps him cozy. I originally ordered the large size because my son is very long for his age (but thin) and his height was 30” when the medium size says it goes up to 30”. The large was wayyy to big. Extremely long, which isn’t a huge deal, but the chest area was still too big. Just him sitting in it awake, the large would come up over his face a times and I was afraid he’d suffocate at night. Re ordered one size medium and even though he’s close to being the same length it still fits perfect. Plus, babies don’t ever sleep with their legs straight out, they’re normal curled up so it’s plenty of room still. I would recommend for a cooler room!

I got the blue whales. Very well made and soft. Feels like a thick quilt. My son is 6 months old and wears 12 month clothes so I got the large. Fits great! Will definitely be telling my friends who also have little ones. UPDATE: My son is now 8 months old and is now wearing 2t clothing... this was MONEY WELL SPENT! This is his favorite place to be at nap and bed time since he doesn't want me rocking him any more :(. Its like he cant get comfortable until he's in it. As soon as I snap it and zip it he smiles and his eyes are already closing. I know he's comfortable in it because he sleeps all night long from 8 at night until about 8 or 9 in the morning. I bought him the large when he was 6 months old... it was big but I would buy the large again. It is very durable and medium thickness. He tends to sweat when he sleeps so I started putting him in this in just his diaper. Not too hot and not too cold.... just right! Also LOVE the fact that it zips from the top down!!! Snaps aren't cheap and stay snapped. Zipper has a strip of protective cloth like clothing does so that the zipper doesn't sit directly on skin when zipped.

Very good quality

Perfect for my 5 months old. The zip is great and easy to lay him in rather than a side zip which I've purchased previously and returned. This is absolutely perfect! I brought 6 to 18 month size.

super soft and light weight blanket for little one

It is the only one fit my baby after I tried several blanket (over five brands) during the winter, we are happy with the purchasing, the design is really cute and shape fits the baby body perfectly, it also keep baby warm at cold night. She loves to wear it before bed.

I got Large for my 18 month daughter(her height is 80cm). Thought it might be too big but it was ok. The material is soft and comfy. I own other plain version and I like this one better because this seems to be softer. I think it's warm enough so I can sleep better without worrying about her being cold. I love the snaps on the shoulders since it makes it easy getting her out of the sleeper!
