Cards are a little large

I really like that this set has one math fact per card, instead of a math fact on both the front and back of each card. It makes it much easier for sorting the ones that my son's already learned from the ones he's struggling with. That's the whole reason I bought this set to begin with. I tried cheaper ones and I was frustrated by the difficulties in sorting them. There's one thing I hate about them though. I do not like the size of the cards. At all. They're huge. Neither me nor my son have problems reading smaller print, so I don't understand why the cards need to be made so big. They're little people and their eyesight is not impared. They don't need 2" numbers. That's stuffs for the elderly. I can't properly shuffle these to mix them up because of their size, and I have pretty large hands. No way could my son try shuffling them by himself.

Good quality cards but be aware that 13 to 24 are not full sets

Great quality, big numbers, with answers on the back and one rounded corner for easy sorting. I hold up a big stack, so seeing the answer on the back isn't an issue. Includes full sets of 1-12. However, as another reviewer mentioned, be aware that they are NOT full sets from 13-24. You only get cards with answers 12 or less and only up to the number 12 subtracted (see below). If I had read the review more carefully, I would have looked for a set using only 0-12 subtraction facts (91 cards total). The full set addition cards by the same company are fine. Cards included for 13-24: 13-1 through 13-12 14-2 through 14-12 15-3 through 15-12 16-4 through 16-12 17-5 through 17-12 18-6 through 18-12 19-7 through 19-12 20-8 through 20-12 21-9 through 21-12 22-10 through 22-12 23-11 through 23-12 24-12

Great for Practice

These are great for practice. I did have to put my hand over the bottom if the lighting was a certain way, otherwise my child could sort of make out the answer through the card. But this doesn't happen if there is no light shining from the backside. Otherwise, they work great! Nice big numbers that are easy to read.

Better than most but not perfect

These flash cards, finally, are the best ones. They have ALL the equations instead of just , for example, 3 x 9 but not 9 x 3. These are exactly what our students and the schools need: a comprehensive set. However, the only drawback is size and shape. Flash cards that are sized like a normal deck of cards are better, but even more important, flashcards that are all the same on the corners instead of rounded on one corner and straight on the other (obviously to utilize a specific size of paper and then cut in half). Of course, perhaps this is to appease the OCD in me. Overall, though, because finally there is a set, albeit more expensive, that is comprehensive, I think they are the best out there.

Perfect!!! This is exactly what I need for my Kindergartner. The cards are a nice size and a decent thickness. The answer can still be seen if a bright light is shinning through it, but that can be avoided if you put it in front of another card. I love that they have both versions of an equation. So for example there is a card for 1-2 and 2-1. Some kids get confused when the numbers are switched. Perfect! I purchased the addition as well from this same company and I will be purchasing the multiplication and division in the future. They are bit pricier than some of the other choices, but the boxes they come in are sturdy and the card stock is pretty heavy duty. Worth it, IMO. Excellent choice!

Great tool for my children. They all want to use flashcards now.

Totally awesome cards. Shaped such that they're easily distinguished between the side with the answer and the side without. My kids love them. I bought all 4 sets. Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Divison. Boxes are all the same size which is a plus for storage. The cards are not flimsy. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because the cards are see-through enough that the child can see the answer depending on the quality of light in the room they're being used. I now just hold a stack horizontally and turn the card to a 90 degree so the stack now hides the 'answer' portion of the card. Do note, they come in order so you might want to mix them up a bit first.

2 weeks for results of a second grader

We purchased these for our 2nd grader who was struggling to get her math facts fast enough. My husband has used them every night and she was the only one in her class to get 100% on their math fact quiz after only 2 weeks of using the cards. They have all the facts a 2nd grader needs so they are perfect. We wondered about using an app instead, but I am so glad we used the cards. They are perfect because she can go through them all but then we can put them in piles and have her go over the ones she got wrong. She also is so much more into being and having help from her Dad than from a tablet.
