Performs at least as well as expected.
It shipped in a cardboard tube, and both were intact when it arrived, so good on the seller for that. The first bit of the threads, less than 1/2", on either end were undersized, but I suppose that's to be expected. After removing the ends and cutting out the sections I intended to use, the threads on those pieces were tight and clean, and have performed quite well insofar, no stretching, stripping, or bending. And it's not being used to hold down a stack of papers, I used it to replace the limb bolts on a Martin bow to make disassemble easier without tools, so there's some stress there!

18-8 Stainless Steel Fully Threaded Rod, 1/4"-20 Thread Size, 36" Length,.
The rod was badly bent about 10" from one end. One end of the cardboard tube that it was packed in, was missing the end cap so the rod apparently came out of the tube during transit, became bent, and was then replaced in the tube with some tape over the end to keep it from falling out. It would have taken a lot of force to bend a 1/4-inch steel rod so I can't imagine how it happened. I probably will never use the full length of the rod so I will not return it.

Carefully packaged to avoid thread damage
As received, it was inside a fairly heavy plastic tube and had a cap plug over the end. My first reaction as that the plastic tube was part of someone else's order as was the cap plug. It took a while until it registered that the tube was there to protect the excellent threads. Sort of wish the threads had been rolled instead of cut but then the price would have been higher. I really appreciate that they went to the trouble of protecting the threading. I have had very unfortunate problems in the past where the rod had been "dented" during shipment and a tap had to be run over the length to get a drive nut to pass. Thanks guys!

Fits thetford macerator pump.
I used this to repair a theft ford macerator pump. I needed to replace the brass rod that holds the motor to the macerator head. The company does not have replacement brass rods in the parts list (called company not available) so instead of paying $250 on a new one was able to cut this to size and repair it. Needed stainless due to avoid corrosion. I could not locate the 10-32 thread at local hardware or big box stores.

Exactly as specified
When you specify this much about a product it's exactly what it is. Also I really love this seller, they package their products with extremely thick and heavy tubes, which contain the product (this time in another plastic tube) and then packed in with paper. Sealed with plastic caps, and sealed with tape. There is no way this product will break during shipping.

Hard to find and Nice to Have
I had to a good battery battery hold down for an old tractor. The only hold downs available at the auto supply ar pressed metal and not very strong.+ So I made an angle iron holder out of an old bed frame and used this rod because it is larger and non rusting.
