Very useful towel

I like this towel a lot it's very absorbent and you just wring it out when it's wet and then keep drying. I use it at the gym several times a week after swimmmg and showering. It stores in its own container and doesn't take up much space in my gym bag or get other things wet. It also saves washing towels all the time. It's too small to wrap around me when getting out of the shower but that's okay since most of the guys don't wear a towel going to and from the shower anyway. I've been using it for about eight months and it's getting pretty worn. When I leave it stored wet it really really stinks the next time I go to use it so I take it out of its container when I get home to let it dry. Once dry it goes hard. I then fold it to put it back into my gym bag and it has now started to crack on the fold lines. The next one I get I will avoid folding when dry and I'm sure it will last much longer. Since it is hard when I go to use it again I simply wet it down in the shower wring it out before using. If I notice that it smells bad I wash it out with soap in the shower before drying off.

Fantastic Towel to Carry Around

When I first opened this towel, I was certain it was going to be a joke and not work. It seems so tiny, but it absorbs water so well. I've had two of these for about 7 years now and I've brought this with me whenever I'm traveling or camping, never regretted it. It does dry into whatever shape you leave it in, so just be aware of that if you wrap it around something. I leave it hanging to dry on a towel rack and can simply lift it up to run it under water again, so it hasn't been an issue.

Excellent for any kind of on-the-go/travel drying needs

This thing is a scientific breakthrough. I bike commute to work and try to keep my backpack as light as possible. This was recommended to me by some swimmer friends who noted that it could dry me off after the shower at work, but weighs nothing compared to a full towel. They were absolutely correct. I have not noticed the smell noted by others yet, but it is strange how it dries very stiff into whatever shape it is left in. I have heard contradicting advice whether you are supposed to leave it damp, or let it dry. I personally have been letting it dry and then rolling it back into its tube. Works for me! I would strongly recommend this for anyone who need to dry off from any activity, but is trying to cut down on carrying weight/bulk. I will be bringing this with my any time i travel in the future.

I used this while backpacking and I loved it

I am a minimalist backpacker, I took a backpack smaller than a regular school backpack for a 2.5 month trip to Europe, so I didn't have room for a real towel, and I didn't want to spend big money on a large, quick drying towel (that still doesn't even dry that fast) Yeah, this is small to dry your whole body, but the space I was saving made it all worth it. You can just keep wringing it out and keep drying yourself. I kept it in a ziploc bag with a couple small holes in it, and it didn't leak in my bag, and because of the holes it never got smelly. I could take a shower a few minutes before checking out of a hostel, and stick this right in my bag and be on my way, you can't do that with an expensive backpackers towel. This is awesome. It sucks the water out of your hair and everything. I highly recommend this for traveling, or going to the gym, or swimming. It's perfect.

Good for pat drying, not great for drying hair

I like the compact size of this towel as well as its capacity to dry/wipe water off of skin. It is best used as a swim towel. It smells a bit weird for the first few washes, and I feared that the smell would rub off on me, but if it did it didn't last long after drying off. This towel is not a good texture or fluffiness for drying hair, it's only good for a pat dry. The weirdest thing about this towel is that it comes wet and in a plastic tube. If you store the towel in the tube, trapped with some moisture, it will be soft and malleable when you take it out for use. If you do not store it in the tube then it will fully dry out and be stiff as cardboard. If you let it dry out while it's touching itself (folded) it will stick to itself and tear if you don't fully soak it before unfolding it.

Pros and Cons

This is a really absorbent towel but it is also a little bit on the sticky side. It sticks to your skin a little bit instead of sliding across your skin like a traditional towel would. This makes it a bit awkward to use but practice helps. It rings out nicely. It is small (about 12" x 15") making it easy for me to pack in a backpack as I ride the bicycle in to work in the morning. (Edit) I have used it regularly for several months now. It has become smelly and musty. I am not very picky but it is a pretty strong odor. I have tried to clean it with dish soap and rinse it out thoroughly. And I have completely dried it out several times but as soon as it gets wet the small comes back. I will try it in the clothes washer next to see if that helps. I wonder if I can use vinegar or ammonia on it? Some of the color washed out when I used dish soap. Due to this I lowered my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars.

Great towel especially for the price

I thought there's no way on earth this little towel would be good enough to use to dry off an adult after swimming. I was wrong, it's great, it would be helpful if it was just a little bit bigger, so I wouldn't have to ring it out quite so often. Nonetheless, I've not had any problems with it smelling or getting gross; I always take it into the shower with me after my swim and rinse it out and then ring it out again and I store it in the little plastic case that it comes in. I've been using it for over a month now, three days a week and it's been great…

Compact and practical

I use this for showering after biking to work. It's nearly as absorbent as "real" towels, but much more compact, and dries very quickly - always a good thing when storing in a locker room. I also like that I don't need to bring it home to wash, because I can wash it directly in the shower by scrubbing it with a bit of soap then wringing it under running water.

great towels

I have used these for some years and have always been impressed with the way that they dry. I use them after showering and it is a simple matter to give them a wash straight away then leave them flat on the shower floor for use the next time. I was amazed that these came with free postage - they took ten days or so (as stated in the order) well packaged and all the way from California!

TERRIBLE QUALITY

I don't understand how this product has gotten so many great reviews. I just received my towel; as instructed on the box I washed it by hand in cool water and boy was it a pain just to unfold this tiny square of fabric. It took forever to gently pry the sides apart while keeping it submerged. As you can see in the pictures the fabric is extremely worn around the edges, so much so that the base mesh is visible, there are patches where the top coating simply came off when the towel was unfolded, several tears appeared around the perimeter as well. All of this damage and the thing hasn't even been used once! As several others pointed out, the product is extremely small. If you are like me and stopped reading the product description at the "one size" mark just below the product picture, be warned, one size does not mean standard pool towel size. If you haven't yet done so, scroll a bit lower to the technical details section, the actual size of the "towel" is 41 x 31 cm. Absolute waste of money.

This is a very practical towel. I use it mostly in treadmill, to clean the sweat off my face. The only problem is that you have to wash it pretty well otherwise you'll certainly get it smelly. What I do is wash it in gym bathroom with soap and once a week leave it for half an hour in a mix of laundry soap (Tide) and baking soda. This would keep it really fresh. I wouldn't wash it with other clothes, as it loses colour when washed (mine has already some unstained spots) I'v been using it daily for 3 months and it's still in perfect condition (aside from the stain loss)

Great product, be careful opening towel.

I used to use these towels when I was on the swim team. They are great! Now I use them at the gym so I don't have to carry a wet towel around with me. They are very absorbent and I like the color. However, when I opened the package, the cloth was dry and folded tightly together, that's fine but when I started to hydrate it to open it, part of the cloth ripped, little pieces would fall off if I'm not careful.
