This is a high-quality duplicate of a popular brand, and I find the quality to be exceptional for the price. It really is comparable to a Fabletics, Athleta, or REI type of outdoor skort— and in fact it fits me better than any I have bought from those brands. I spent a good deal of my time traveling with my dog in my adventure van, and no matter where I go, this is one of the first things I pack now. I feel like it is cut fairly slim, and slim in the hips. I sized up to medium from my normal size small and even so it skins my body without much surplus material, though the waist does have much more flex to it. The inner shorts are stretchy but the outer shell, which is very light yet still really solid, does not have stretch, so if you are very wide in the hips or booty, you may want to size up even more. I have very little of either, and you can see from the photos that this just fits. The waist has a lot of room to give, but the wide, poly drawstrings allow you to adjust it while still keeping the look of a flat front, which I love. You don’t see puckers or crinkled elastic at the top, which is my preference. It’s really sleek, has held up across at least 10 or 15 washings now, and I’ve honestly been wearing it almost every day, because it’s perfect to pop on over a swimsuit when I go out on the paddleboard in the mornings and evenings. I have to hike a bit through my neighborhood to put in at the water, so this is the perfect cover-up. And even when I do leave it on out on the water, it dries incredibly fast in the sun. Has every ounce the performance you expect from more expensive brands and I’m so impressed I’m going to buy another color. This has been an impressive and winning product for me. Fit: i’m 5’9”, 158, swimmer build with more shoulders and chest than hips or butt and my normal size, small, would probably have been on the small side. Medium did me right.
