Very Lightweight Bottle Opener; Sturdy Metal

This is a 6" (15cm) long bottle opener with a smooth wooden handle. It's extremely light weight (likely due to the handle being hollow and the metal portion only filling in the top end of the opener). The handle is dark brown with the words 'Houdini' written on it. The metal seems very sturdy -- and won't bend even with a lot of force. In general, it doesn't feel the best made (just because of the weight), but it works perfectly.

Doing the job

It's a bottle opener... it opens bottles. Works fine. Can't say how durable or long-lasting it is, but it's doing the job now.

Better than expected for $5.99 Price. Nice Wood Accent. Blends well with table, mats, etc.

It's a more stylish than average bottle opener with decent wood which one can somewhat scratch into and indent without getting splinters or any major damage. The metal part has a slight indent if one looks which I find can at times provide better ability to get under those hard to flip tops, especially for those that were stamped by someone from their own home or an independent (although, I did at one point still use nail clippers of all things (how I figured this out, don't ask, and probably don't do it, it can damage the clippers) in order to get a cap off a bottle which was seemingly heat glued on by some devious lazer method from planet Nibiru.

BROKE after opening 2 cans of pineapple juice...JUNK

I bought this heavy duty looking punch can opener to open the large Dole pineapple juice cans. I also bought a cheap one with a fridge magnet on it. This piece of junk broke after opening exactly 2 cans, the little lip that grabs the under part of the seam just bent, making this expensive heavy opener a useless paper weight, The cheap $1 opener is still going strong. Don't waste your money on this sexy looking useless junk. Go to the cheapo store and get the little cheap opener if you can find one, they are going the way of the dinosaur and getting hard to find since hardly anybody makes cans that need to be opened this way anymore.

Heavy Duty

I ordered a 'Houdini 2-in-1 Stainless Steel Bottle Opener' for review. At first I thought, wow $12 for a bottle opener. But, when it came, I realized why. This bottle opener is heavy duty. It is heavier than a cheaply made bottle opener. It is a nice size and works exactly as it should. It is about the length of silverware, so it should be easy to find in a drawer full of kitchen tools. Overall, great kitchen tool.
