Make sure it is what you need
This product did not help my pond at all. However, I believe I bought the wrong product. After reading the label on this, it says it helps particles of dirt clump together to clear the water. So, if your water is cloudy due to dirt or mud, this is probably the product you need. Mine is green, and it did not clear it at all - so I am going to go with a UV light to kill the algae. Like I said, this is probably a good product, but apparently that was not the problem I have in my pond.

That's what it's supposed to. And seems to last a long time.
I use this product a month ago. It takes the floating particles in the water and makes them join together. I'm very happy with the results. A month later and my water is still clear. We are in the process of setting up a bog filter but it's taking longer than planned so we have no filtration going on. I do realize this means the sediments are sinking to the bottom but that is fine. I will be able to vacuum them up with a hose vacuum.

Really clears water
Anyone with a large outdoor fish pond knows about fine green algae growth that clouds the water. PondCare Accu-Clear Water Claifier is the best product I have ever used. I found it to be less expensive from Amazon, even with any shipping cost. It dosn't work too well on 'green water' though. For green water you really need to use barley straw. Living in farm country, I buy barly straw by the bale and a bale will last about two years at about $ 4.00 per bale. The Accu-Clear takes about three treatments the first week or so and then only on occasion thereafter. You will recognize the fine green algae as it will clog filters and pumps. It even works well in ponds with all day sun light. Let me tell you, it is just great to be able to sit and watch your fish swim around in sparkling clear water. Other clifiers that rely on floculation just don't work. My pond is over twenty years old and when I discovered Accu-Clear, I have never had to fight fine algae growth again. Just follow the directions on the container. One of those Miriacle Grow type spayers makes a great applicator. Hook it to a garden hose and treat your pond in just minutes.

WORKS GREAT WITH FAST RESULTS!!
I ordered this product last week along with Algae Fix by the same manufacture, API Pondcare. In less than a week our pond went from pea soup where we couldn't see our fish to almost crystal clear. Still waiting for the 3rd step "Ecofix Pond Clarifier" and excited to add it with other other products for ongoing maintenance for our pond. AND, I can't say enough about the customer care for API Pondcare. I wasn't really sure which I should use first and how long to wait in-between products. They responded to my email question very quickly and helped me with a couple other questions I had. Used as Kayla @ API instructed gave a great results. Like many others I've tried a lot of different products, some worked some didn't and some were pretty expensive. API products are less expensive that others and I feel really good that our pond will stay clear and balanced using their products.

our koi pond is clear!
Our new home has a koi pond in the backyard, and we were told by the neighbors that the previous owners did not maintain the pond whatsoever. The water was gross, mucky and murky. We honestly didn't think there were any fish in the pond until we turned on the filter (which had been turned off for months) and we saw the glimmer of a bright orange fish swimming in the depths. We bought this product to help clear up the pond, in addition to our routine maintenance, i.e. cleaning up debris and keeping the filter running. It has done a great job clearing up the water. Now we can see that we have at least 10+ fish in the pond and it looks a lot better. Follow directions on the product label, and keep caring for the pond as you normally would, and it will look great!

Great product for clear pond water
This stuff is great. Due to a rodent building a nest behind our waterfall, we had clay soil wash into our pond and dissolve in the water. It looked absolutely horrible, and the fish seemed to hate it. After carefully searching for a product, I found this one which takes suspended particles and binds them together so they fall to the pond bottom and are captured by the filter. It took about 3 applications to clear our pond (1000 gallon), and now we use it every 7-10 days to keep it clear, since there is still fallen sediment on the shelves on the sides of the pond. Also, we did not use the full 1000-gallon dose, just the suggested dose for 600 gallons. It takes about 12 hours for full effect.
