Feature rich but at the sacrifice of quality. Not worth the savings
Reading the headline specifications on this sight you can easily be amused by the amount of features you get for the money. In other words the Apex Covert sight seems like good bang for your buck. But sadly it is not the case. Upon receiving the sight at the expected delivery date and unpacking, it was immediately apparent that this is by no means a top quality product. The finish is okay but there were clear signs of bad workmanship. Screw heads were slightly stripped and there were scratches on the finish. The casing is sturdy and looked as if it would resist abuse and inclement weather well. The pin/pins are moderately acceptable but I can see that many people would complain about the clarity of the optics as it is not very bright. The yardage wheel adjuster mechanism works adequately well but lacks smoothness and precision. The yardage wheel lock is terrible. It is not comfortable to reach as it is on the same side as your bow arm meaning you have reach around the bow with your draw arm to get to it. The locking of it is also very inconsistent and changes depending on where the wheel is set. All the above "problems" are minor and most of us working on a tight budget would be able to live with, but unfortunately there other problems which completely destroy the desirability of this sight. The sight is riddled with features, but the adjustments are poor. There is no consistency in terms of the Allen wrench sizes for all the adjustments. The elevation and windage lock nuts are different sizes. The 2nd and 3rd axis adjustment sizes are different from each other and all other adjustments. They are also near impossible to adjust finely and accurately. All the screws and bolts are very cheap and come damaged straight from the factory. Tightening them just a little too liberally will damage them. The micro windage adjustment is acceptable but there is no calibration to use as a reference. Basic tuning is easy, but fine tuning (especially 2nd and 3rd access) is near impossible. With allot of patience and being very, very delicate with adjustment bolts you could get it sighted properly. However, if you are so inclined to spend enough time fine tuning this sight I guarantee you, you will very quickly wish you bought something else as you will notice that is a very flimsy sight and one bump will move the sight out of adjustment. To conclude. The sight is not worthy of all its adjustability and features. There is no point in having it all if you cannot use it accurately and reliably. Apex would have been better off limiting the features and improving on the quality of the sight. I unfortunately cannot recommend this product for any type of shooter as it does not do anything well. In contrast the Apex Covert sight does allot stuff, but very poorly. If you want this sight due to its price I would recommend looking at Trophy Ridge's cheaper single pin sights or bight the bullet and opt for something more expensive such as HHA.

Great sight, lightweight and easy to
Great sight. Light weight and easy to use. I bought the 2x magnification and I love it. Works great for long distance shooting. I used it for archery antelope and also MN whitetail hunting. Never used a single pin before and I wont go back to anything else. I was nervous for MN deer hunting but I set my pin at 25 yards and I practiced with that yardage and shot 20, 30 and 40 yards with the pin being set at 25 yards and I just had to aim a bit high at 40, other than that I shoot a fast enough bow that the 25 yard mark was about perfect to set it at in hunting conditions. I did find out that I had to use 2 different tapes for the yardage. I used 1 tape for 20-60 yards and then I used another tape for 60-100 yards. For whatever reason the 1st tape didn't match up with my bow for the longer distances so I used a pen and marked down my 60-100 yardage marks and just matched up another tape that lined up with my own marks. The only downfall, which is minor, is the 2x magnification lens that I bought to go with it makes a tiny rattle sound. I don't notice it when I shoot but if you tap your bow you kind hear some noise coming from the lens moving. Other than that, its a great sight.

I'm a convert! I went from a 3-pin sight to this single-pin at the recommendation of a friend. What a difference!!!! Once you're sighted-in, this is as accurate as you can get! The instructions are simple to follow. I've heard from others that you can "dial the sight in" at multiple distances. The key is to make sure you're at 20 yards from the start, then go to either 40 or 60 yards for the second distance. Once you're sighted in, pick the right sticker and put it on! You're good to 100 yards afterwards! Bow: Hoyt Charger @ 65 lbs. Stabilizer: Trophy Ridge 6" Static Stabilizer Release: Tru-Fire Hardcore Arrows: Easton FMJ - 340 spine I did, however, have a slight problem. The first sight I ordered had adjustment screws that were put in at the factory so tightly that I couldn't get them out. I ended up stripping 2 allen wrenches. However, Amazon was fantastic! The day I contacted customer service, which happened to be a Sunday, I spoke with an Amazon Cust. Svc. Rep. who apologized for the problem and put a replacement order into the system during our chat session. I received an email with the return paperwork, and within 2 days the new sight was on my bow! Great product, and Excellent customer service!

Just know these things before buying
U will not be able to adjust 90 percent of the settings. Screws have lock tite and the Allen wrenches provided strip screws out anyways.. bought 2 for wife and I and at this price I wouldn’t again..my cheap tru glow is better. Disappointed

Nice, solid sight with lots of adjustments
Excellent upgrade over 3 pin system that I was having difficult issue focusing on. Sighting in is a breeze and when you figure out where 50-60 yards is the tapes are ridiculous close its not even funny. It has been a nice addition for 3d league. The light is a little finicky but that's only when inside in low light areas.

I’m sure there are better sights out there
After a bunch of playing around and adjustments I was finally able to zero the sight in. I’m sure there are better sights out there, but for the money it’s a great product. I gave 4 stars because I think the adjustments could be made a little simpler.

Apex Gear Covert 1-Pin Sight
I bought this sight after reading about it and I am happy that I did. I have other sights similar to this by other manufacturers. This sight is of very good quality and I was pleasantly surprised how well the adjustments work and there are plenty of adjustments. The locks work as they should and do not slip. It set up very easy and all controls are easily and conveniently accessible. The fit and finish are flawless. I would and probably will buy another of these sights. It is a good value.... A very good value.

Great sight...... beware of buyer, took yardage stickers out of the package
Love the sight. Works and performs as expected and very easy to adjust slider. Would have given it 5 stars but some jackoff took the yardage stickers out of the package which is suppose to be included! Had to spend an additional 10$ on new stickers.
