Good anchor but bolt lengths are very long
While not the manufacturer's first recommendation, I installed this in a garage wall through the existing wallboard and framing. Drilling was no issue but did require a depth that ultimately caused me to drill into the hallway wall on the other side of the garage wall. Fortunately, the bolts did not stick through beyond the depth of the hallway wallboard so, after installing the bolts, I was able to spackle and paint over the holes nicely. Ultimately, the installation went smoothly and provides a very secure anchor for my bike lock, which I hang on the wall above the anchor. A good quality chain lock holds it in place. This is not totally theft-proof but someone will have to work really hard to remove the anchor or cut the chain to remove the bike -- definitely will keep most casual intruders at bay (they have to get into my garage first).

Not so easy to install, screw head a bit weak
Nice and sturdy, clever design with proper features to avoid being defeated, like the outer sleeves that prevent a saw to slide underneath and cut the screws. Install in wood wall: somewhat difficult: you will need three bits: one for the outer sleeves, one for the screw shaft, one for the tip. You will need at least one special drill, 3/16th and longer than 110 mm. The outer sleeves need a bit larger than 1/2" and your regular home drill may be too small to take it. Count on $10-12 drill budget just for the long one. The thread is very long and requires a lot of torque to install: the screw head is quite weak and may strip.

good anchor but requires deep drilling
Requires drilling two 10mm, 100mm deep holes (with masonry bit like a 10x150) and to widen the entrance of the holes to 14mm (with a 14mm masonry bit, any length will do as you only need a few cm). For fitting, I would suggest placing the assembled anchor in the desired position (including sleeves), to drill a 1 cm deep hole by passing the bit through one of the sleeves, then to insert a screw in the sleeve and hole and do the same on the other side. The holes are easily and reliably marked in this way. The drilling can then be completed. Beware, this product is not very tolerant of drilling at angles, you need to drill straight down through your surface or you might struggle to fit the fixing through. The depth of the holes makes the process impossible on thinner wall and is also problematic on thinner walled buildings. When installing the anchor on a thin walled brick property, I found myself reaching the plaster on the other side (but happily not breaking through) The screws are good quality and the whole assembly is pretty easy. Inserting the rivets that cover the screw heads is a bit of a faff but happens after reasonable amounts of cursing. For the price, and if you are able to drill in the floor or wall to a depth of 10cm without issues, this is a really good product. if not, prefer a product that uses shorter stubbier metal sheathed fixings.

I sleep better now my bike is locked to two of these
I am very happy with this wall anchor. I bought two to lock my bike on the (public) balcony. One of my D-locks goes through the anchor and the frame, another d-lock through the front wheel and a steel cable runs from one lock through the 2nd anchor, though the back wheel and the frame, to the other d-lock. It seems very strong and safe now and I hope it is enough to keep thiefs away. Installation was easy although I did have to buy a 16 mm drill. Now my only worry is having to remove them in case we'd move house...

Make sure you have the right tools!
Easy enough to fit with the right tools, but be careful if you want to fit it to a garage wall of one brick thickness. You need to drill holes 100mm deep with a 12mm drill, and this would go right through a standard brick. You then need to counter-sink each hole with a 16mm drill - which you won't find in your standard DIY kit. Provided you have the right drill and bits, then it's easy - drill the holes, tap the bolts in, turn a few time and it's done. Feels very secure.

Very good anchor point for bikes
Very sturdy piece of equipment. not to hard to install and very solid build. Excellent for securing bikes.

Great Price
I've seen this as much as £40 elsewhere so for £9 on Amazon it seemed like it was a misprint! Great value wall anchor from one of the leading names in security locks. I needed to buy 2 drill bits (a long 10mm for the wall screws and a short 16mm to countersink the metal sleeves) to a total cost of £9 so it was £18 all in and on the wall. I deliberately stripped the screw heads once they were in and then hammered the metal covers in so its a sledgehammer job to get it off (you can never have too many anchor points in a garage!) It's solid as a rock on the garage wall behind my Boardman bike with a heavy duty U lock locking them together, peace of mind as you'd need time and heavy duty tools to steal my bike now!
