Replacement great

Purchased January 2011. It dripped the soap corroded the front of the dispenser. Found out it was under warranty from American Standard. It was replaced and is now working beautifully with no leak or problem. Great product.

Nice.

This soap dispenser is easy to mount,looks great and works well. It did take a lot of pumping to get it primed enough for soap to come out, but it has worked great since.

Poor Customer Service - but nice product

My husband thought there should be two washers with the unit, so we went to the American Standard site and found installation instructions, which clearly showed two. I called to request a second washer and was told that they don't have the part, and I should go to a hardware store to buy one. I probably will avoid buying American Standard in the future because of poor customer service. I am updating my review a year or so later. I called again shortly after purchasing it and was told that the second washer was actually unnecessary. We have been using the product for the past several months and I love it. It has been exactly what I wanted. The product works well, and has a very nice chrome finish.

A great addition to my sink

I haven't had any problems with this pump and it has a good sized bottle. I use it to dispense my dish washing soap instead of for hand washing. Just a squirt or two on my sponge, and I wash a couple of dishes.

Works well for 4 - 5 years

We installed two of these (one for hand soap, one for dishwashing) in 1998, and they worked well for a few years, but then they lost the ability to keep the soap in the top of the suction tube, so you have to pump several times to get the first squirt in your hand. You can improve things somewhat by washing out the entire tube and dispenser assembly with hot water, but this improvement doesn't last. The first time this happened, American Standard sent me a new one gratis, but now I have to replace them at several-year intervals. When I do so, all I need is a new dispenser head, but buying just that seems to be more expensive than the entire head+tube+bottle assembly. Go figure.

American Standart 4503.115.002 Deck Mount Liquid Soap Dispenser, Chrome

This product is so easy to use and gentle on hands like mine, with arthritic. It is easy to clean and shines every time after you wipe it. The plastic liquid soap container and tube stops it from rusting (as my previous stainless steel ones did). Highly recommend it.

Buy a different brand

Bought this soap dispenser about 2 years ago. I was hesitant to buy american standard brand but I liked the look. When I recieved it I was impressed with how heavy it was and it appeared to be good quality. However, it never really worked great (had to pump many times for a small amount of soap) and now it doesn't work at all. No matter what I try it won't pump soap - won't even pump water. Plus everytime you go to fill it the tubing pops off and you have to fish it out of the bottle with tweezers. Amazon description says "limited lifetime warranty" so I called American Standard hoping some part of the mechanism would be under warranty. Turns out "limited lifetime" actually means 1 year warranty. Maybe American Standard thinks their product's lifetime is only 1 year - not a good sign. They asked if I wanted to buy a whole new one - no way. Why would I spend more money on something that only lasted 18 months? Update - Called American standard and they were willing to send me a whole new pump. its working well at the moment and I appreciate the service.

Sadly, this dispenser won’t hold up

Good quality metal soap dispenser. Matches my American Standard faucet. Reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because dispenser mechanism doesn't stay attached to head when you pick it up to refill soap, instead it stays down in the bottle and you must use paper towel to pick it up because it's slippery with soap (my cheap plastic dispenser I replaced this one with didn't do that). Not a huge deal as I only refill it once a month or so but that annoyance keeps it from being perfect. Very cool looking though. Edit: For the last 2 years, this dispenser has been almost worthless. The top is so loose, it barely stays on and the soap leaks out onto the counter. I tried calling customer service this morning only to hang up after 20 minutes on hold (way to go American Standard). I’ve spent a lot of money with American Standard including two $400 faucets but will seriously reconsider any purchases in the future.
