Protects from allergens and dust, fits well, lasts long
This review is based on a free sample. I've spend a lot of time with the product so that my review is based on real life experience and can help others. I have had the opportunity to use the mask in the garden and on long treks over several weeks. I've also used it for the occasional social gathering. The mask has a good fit and seals well. It is large enough so it covers the nose ( my nose is average sized) and mouth and does not need constant adjustment. The one problem I have had with this is that the foam on the nose bridge can scratch the skin if not worn properly. While I had a bit of a problem initially, I was able to adjust the nose clip for a comfortable fit. However, a friend who also used the same mask, developed a rash on the nose with scratching from the foam. The straps are still strong and comfortable after several days of use. I have used the mask on average for 2-3 hours on weekdays and up to 8 hours on weekends while working in my garden. Unlike over-the-ear strap masks, this mask is comfortable to wear for hours on end (I am bald with an average sized head). The mask has been very effective at preventing allergens and dust from getting through so I can work comfortably in the garden all day. I also use the mask while mowing the lawn and it is very effective in keeping allergens and dust out. It takes some time to get used to, but the mask is easy to breathe through, and even when it gets a bit wet with sweat, it does not feel so uncomfortable that you want to take it off. One more thing is that while working in the garden if the mask gets dirty, it can be washed and it is just as effective after drying. I have also used this mask while out on 3-4 hour treks to keep allergens out. One of the differences between a trek and using the mask in the garden is that when you are on a steep upward climb and breathing heavily, you do want to take the mask off, which I occasionally do to catch my breath. I understand that this is not the intended use of the mask, but I use it to protect from allergens and the mask is very effective at that. The mask tends to fog your glasses in very cold weather, but otherwise I have not experienced any fogging indoors or outdoors. It is good at filtering odors. You can smell the difference when you take it off. However, it does not stop certain chemical smells, for example, that of the weed killer that I store in my shed. I can not comment on its usage in a medical setting or whether it protects me from infection in social gatherings but I trust that the NIOSH approval is specifically for that purpose. Overall I am happy with the mask and prefer it over many others that I've used so far. Based on how long one lasts, I expect to use the 20 pack for a very long time.

Cup style holds its shape, does not collapse when breathing
The media could not be loaded. I like this mask because it has a rigid cup shape, an N95 rating, and NIOSH certification. As supplies of N95 masks increase, it is easier and more affordable for regular people like me who are not first responders to buy them. One of my friends has cancer. She gets chemotherapy treatments every two weeks. Although I am vaccinated for COVID and I normally don't wear a mask, I wear one when I spend time with her because I don't want to make her sick. These masks also give me confidence in crowded grocery stores and on weekend trips when I travel by air. At first, I didn't know if I would like the cup style of this mask. It is not easy to carry in my pocket because the cup will flatten out and lose its shape. However, when I wore it the first time, I noticed that I breathed very easily because it didn't collapse when I inhaled. That is a big deal. Instead of the fabric moving in and out and sucking onto my face when I inhaled, it kept its shape. It maintained a firm seal around my mouth and people could hear me clearly when I spoke. This has become my favorite style of mask. I understand why it is popular with medical professionals and first responders who have to wear masks for long periods of time. The headbands are also very strong, which gives me confidence that they will not break. The pack of 20 masks will last for several weeks. At that point, I will evaluate whether I want to reorder the same ones or choose a different type. Time will tell. So far, I like these a lot.

Well made cupstyle N95
Wear: I have not found a cup style mask that is as comfortable as these, however I still prefer the duckbill N95. I cannot wear this mask for more than 4 hours due to the friction of mask on my skin. The nose padding does help with the discomfort, and I do not have the usual mark on the bridge of my nose. The inside of the cup where it touches my face feels a lot better than other cup style mask because it’s not as rough. Quality: The mask is very well made, however I found it not as breathable as the duckbill N95 masks, but that is expected. The elastic bands are of high quality and do not strain your head or neck. Overall: I have worn about three different types of cup style N95 masks and this is the most comfortable due to the nose padding and the texture of the inside of the cup mask and the high quality elastic bands. It also has a very good seal, so I do feel comfortable wearing this in the health care setting.

Mask is expired
The media could not be loaded. The masks appear to be fine, but on the box it says that they were manufactured in 2020 and expired this year. I bought these masks to avoid wildfire smoke inhalation, but I don't know if they will work to prevent that anymore. I wouldn't discourage buying these as long as you know you might get a few older masks.

Study, Will Stay in Place All Day, Plenty of Room for Breathing, Nose Pad Comfortable
This respirator is good quality and if you need something that will stay secure all day without hurting your ears, this is a great choice. It has two pieces of elastic that go all the way around to the back of your head. The metal nose piece is sturdy but not too stiff, and the mask itself has plenty of room so I don't feel like it's pressing against my nose or mouth. I especially love the extra piece of padding on the inside of the mask near the nose area, as that makes it so much more comfortable than other similar style masks I've tried. It's N95 so not quite as easy to breathe in as a homemade fabric one would be, but for the N95 quality it was not bad at all! I have 2 lung conditions and felt it was fine to wear all day long. My glasses did not fog up at all when I was wearing these. They were comfortable for me and would also be great on a larger face than mine. All in all a great product!
