Good but smaller than I thought

I got these but they’re smaller than I thought. In the pictures, they look bigger but maybe thats my fault for not looking at the measurements beforehand. They’re good though. Very sturdy. I even dropped them while taking them out the box but thank God they didn’t break.

Absolutely perfect for my purposes

I recently broke a Corning platter about the same size as these. To replace it would cost as much as these 6 platters. I use them in cooking prep when I had to lay out stuff, usually for the grill. Although I could have put the Cornings in the oven, I never did so these worked out fine. They look great. Jury still out on whether they will stain. However, I did just use it to prep al pastor and they came out sparkling. Definitely useable as dinner plates, but I would restrict that to very casual dining. Almost passable as porcelain - but not.

Attractive and sturdy

I prefer melamine dinnerware for outdoor dining. I figured an oval plate would be ideal for casual eating outside, when the plate is balanced on one's lap. Oval plates would be less likely to tip or slide off lap, and the raised rim means the food is less likely to fall off the plate. I found a single oval melamine plate at a local store, tried it out and yes, indeed...oval plates are great for outdoor lap dining. But the store had no more oval plates. So I found these on Amazon and decided to take a chance. I am SO glad I did. These Amazon Commercial brand plates are thick and sturdy; the plate I bought locally feels cheap and flimsy by comparison. Plus these have a very attractive understated design that fits in well everywhere. I've only used them once so far, but everyone wanted to know where I got them. Highly recommended.

Narrower than I thought.

Haven’t used them a lot; reserved for serving. Want to know if it will be discolored b4 i order more. Otherwise, I only dislike that they are not as wide as I thought in the deep part though I do like having the lip to hold it with.

Great for holiday meals!

The fact that these dinner platters are unbreakable was a huge win for us when we had to take our Thanksgiving feast on the road to accommodate an elderly family member. With the right placemats and napkins, they even set a pretty table!
