Good but not perfect

The actual fabric of these temporary blackout blinds is very good and keeps light out. However the way these are made there are sewing lines all over the place that, while not really letting light in, shows tiny dots of light through the sewing lines. The seams all around are sewn and there are squares where Velcro and suction cups are sewn that are needed to put the blind up without tools or holes in your walls. So everywhere it’s sewn little pinholes of light are visible. It is distracting to whoever needs to sleep, and seems to give babies something to look at, though the room is supposed to be dark and boring for naps. I’ve tried to include photos but the app won’t allow me to post them. All in all this is an affordable temporary solution. But I think I’ll be returning them due to being cumbersome to put up and take down, as well as the problems with the sewing lines.

Must have for young babies!

This truly makes the room dark! We have two of these: one that stays in his room and one that we use for travel. I will say it does allow some light in through the sides, so in his bedroom we used duct tape to get a full blackout effect. However, now that he is a bit older that hasn't been as big of a deal. We still travel with it and it's easy to suction to the window wherever we are! While most hotels have good black out curtains, we quickly realized many of our friends and family did not have black out curtains in the guest room so that is where we have used this the most. For the price, this is perfect!

Works pretty well!

I did not buy these for travel, but I think they would be great for travel! I actually bought them for my apartment, because I wanted to be able to create a light blocking effect, but one where I could still open them up to see out my window. I also had to buy two due to the size of my window, not a big problem. One thing I will say, for me, is that I’m super sensitive to light when I’m sleeping. So the issue I had with these, which is very minor, is that because it uses suction cups some light still slips through, especially on the top and bottom of them. I ended up getting Velcro command strips to put on the edge of the fabric against the window so that he really did cut the light, but that’s just me, I still think it’s a great product and I kept it.

Marketed as for travel, but we didn't take them with us.

They stick to the window with the suction cups, and that works quite well to get a complete black out effect. Once they're installed, though, we don't want to take them down. Maybe a little more work than we want to do. It's also a bit too much work to adjust them every day to let the light in, so the bedrooms don't get any natural light. We're planning to put up some nicer, permanent blackout curtains in the kids' rooms so we can let the sunlight in during the day.

A must have!!

Keeps so much light out! Great for our son who sleeps best when it’s pitch black. We put this on the window, then lower the blinds and have a regular blackout curtain that slides across on the curtain rod. These are way better than regular blackout curtains, but the combo is great too!

Suctions could be better, but never go on vacation without it

I wish the suction cups on this could be better, but besides that, we never go on a trip without it! If your baby is like mine and needs PITCH BLACK rooms when sleeping, then look no further. So glad I invested in this- it's worth its weight in sleep.

Life saver & rental friendly

We live in an apartment where the landlord will not install curtain holders or blinds leaving us with wide open windows. We appreciate our privacy and darkness so these curtains have been life changing. We wet the suction cups a little press in to place for 30 seconds and just like that! You can even adjust your length and width using the Velcro pieces. One small con is we can’t ‘open’ the curtains as you traditionally we would. We open them more like blinds- using the Velcro to roll it up for the bottom and secure in place

Love the versatility

This was better than expected. It's large enough for me to lay over the traveling bar I purchased to create a private space for my daughter to change behind during dance competitions. It's also thick so others can't see-through it and it's durable so I don't have to worry about it being torn, ripped or ruined. The material is easy to wipe clean. I anticipate being able to have this for future dance seasons and beach trips. I love that it has both Velcro and suction. She sometimes has to change in the car and this will be perfect to use for that as well. It comes with a nice bag that I can easily fold and place back inside the bag for easy travel and storage. Overall, love the purchase and versatility that this privacy curtain offers. Thinking about getting a second one so we have a traveling dressing room where ever we go.

They worked exactly like I needed them to

I purchased these because I needed to darken my room from the downtown lights for my baby. I bought the two pack and they were larger than I expected. I have very large windows so I didn’t expect them to cover the entire window (see photo) but even so, they do a great job at darkening the room. For normal sized windows, they will be large enough. Great value for money. The suction is good. I find it stays better if I get them a bit wet before. Sometimes one comes off if I didn’t press hard enough but it’s an easy fix. Would recommend.

Great for travel, suction pretty good

So great for travelling, have used it in so many different situations and it does really help to make the room darker. Only negative is the suction doesn't stick to all windows, there's been a couple times where we've had trouble getting it to stick to certain windows, not sure why. But for the majority of the time it has worked and been great.

Better than I thought

Was deciding between this and a much more expensive option and I'm glad I got this one. The suction cups work fine. It's not a perfect seal around the edges but for a third of the price, it doesn't matter that much to me.

Horrible suction use!

I gave this overall a 3 star. for what it advertises it’s definitely not worth it! The suction is horrible doesn’t stick falls off half way thru the night and wakes up my kids. However when it does stick it works great.
