High Quality at a Low Cost
I bought this to replace a similar stool I bought on Amazon four or five years ago. I use it as a desk chair. It’s much sturdier than the one it’s replacing. The provided instructions are helpful, but not necessary since the stool is very easy to put together and comes with the only tool you’ll need, an Allen wrench. The castors pop on with just a little bit of elbow grease. The vinyl seat cushion is much larger than my old stool, approximately 15 to 16 inches across, and made with a much thicker material so it should last. I spend a lot of time at my desk working on my laptop and it’s very comfortable to sit on and easily adjusts up and down.

A Stool to Ponder Upon
He's staring directly at me but to be fair I'm staring at him. Outside, feet shuffle, a frantic workforce bustles, but in here there's just us and our quiet moment. We concluded our business but here we linger in a mutual agreement that the nothingness of here is better than the mania of out there. Do they see him the way I do now? The defeated deserter hiding away while the rest of the world fights to rotate into tomorrow. Why doesn't he do something about that haircut. Has had the same one for thirty years, won't be changing it today. The quiet asylum broken by a thump at the door. They want my peace but I'm not finished with it. I wonder if he's still looking. Of course he is. Our eyes locked and another moment is brought to ponder arbitrary questions. What's the human obsession with dying on Mt. Everest? I read it claimed eleven lives last year and more, I'm betting this year. I'll never understand what drives someone to risk their life so unnecessarily. Perhaps if I was more bold I'd have more to live for. Maybe she'd still be around. On the other hand I'm here and many people are well, dead. Best not be like them. Think I'll order in tonight. Multiple thumps at the door reverberate into extra heartbeats and my moment is stolen. As if I've never summoned the courage before I somehow decide to move. My preparations are finalized and I reach for the lever. I pause to hesitate, no turning back once it's pressed. My elusive existence will become reanimated to the forefront of my compatriots minds. I will be exposed as the living creature I am. As I hold the lever the thunder erupts consuming all that was sacred in our secret hideaway. With reality reignited, I face my familiar stranger one last time. His eyes tell me he's not ready but neither has a choice. We turn away to engage the unknown. I brace the door knob and with a final breath I exhale myself into the tidal mania of production driven coexistence. The thief of my sanctuary anxiously brushes past. I spot Marc by the cooler and request the afternoon report. With smiles and chatter I slay hoards in the battle to my office. My foot slips under my workstation to retrieve my favorite new stool. As I give my weight to it I'm reassured by its support that today has the potential to become what every yesterday couldn't - a good day. With a swivel I adventurously glide to my secondary station in an experience that seeds the corner of my mouth with a smile. But this joy is out of place here, best put it away. Realizing but not regretting that I forgot my pen I seize the opportunity for adventure and smoothly glide back to station one. Joy again. Seems less out of place this time. Work beckons and I swivel to a glide back to station two! Upon arrival I notice my face feeling stiff and distorted but before and can correct my facial anomaly Marc appears with the report. At a glance his expression registers surprise that oddly shifts to happiness. What is this affinity? To what should he owe joy? My questions are muffled by the desire to wallow in a fleeting sense of companionship. Another feeling foreign to this place. From what vulnerability are these positive emotions infiltrating the stalwart fortress of despair I know as my workplace? As I ponder upon this I notice the resident aches along my spine have left. Paranoia heightens. What’s the conspiracy? My mind races backwards to the first incident. The stool. Are these intrusions of good all due to this stool? Productivity beckons again and focus turns back to my work. Workstation two is lower than workstation one and my knee knocks the desk. With a brief pull of the adjustment lever my stool adapts as I request and in my descent I realize the true power of this stool. With a light hum and a slight smile I reintroduce myself to station two.

Strong and sturdy, well built
I bought this stool to use when I play my Classica Guitar. I've got long legs and need a higher than normal stool, but not as high as most "guitar stools" that you find for other types of playing. I didn't want the stool to roll around underneath me, so I replaced the casters with bell glides (available on Amazon). These glides come in many different sizes and shapes so if you're looking to lower the stool a bit and don't need casters, this may be your answer. I find this stool to be very stable, and the large seat cushion to be comfortable during my practice times. Others have said that if you lift the stool be the seat that the top and bottom separate but this has not happened to me. Actually, I like the fact that you could separate the two (tap with a rubber hammer or something) so you could take it apart for moving or if you have to return it. This stool is very well built with a strong base, gas cylinder and thick cushion. Amazon Basics does it again!

3.5 Years Later | One of my Favorite Purchases, EVER!
This is easily one of my favorite purchases, ever! I've had this since Sep 2018 (~3.5 years) and absolutely love it. HIGHLIGHTS It was very easy to set up (1 person) It's very sturdy Rolls very nicely Lite enough to pick up and carry Spins full 360 Small (short) enough to be tucked out of view, under any desk Great padding FULL REVIEW I purchased this to use as my primary seat for a desk in a bedroom that I needed to tuck away when not in use. I used it almost daily for the following 3 months and it worked great. After 3 to 4 months I switched to using it mostly on evenings and weekends. My needs and setup have changed since then. Currently I have an L-shaped desk w/ two computer setups and store it under my secondary system and it stays completely out of my way when I have to roll my primary seat over to use that secondary computer. I use it often when someone needs to watch over my shoulder or when an extra seat is needed at table or patio. Kids to adults, and people of all sizes and heights have sat in it and everyone loves it. 3.5 years of use and going strong. Looks and works as it did when I first got it. Highly recommend it. This is easily one of my favorite purchases, ever!

A Temporary Solution
I was on a budget and I needed simple tech stools for my pedicure chairs. The stools themselves are well cushioned and they roll around well. It's annoying that the wheel cover caps constantly pop off and I once I chase them down I have to pop them back on.

No way to adjust the height
Great stool, comfortable but no way to adjust the height. There’s no lever or anything. It also doesn’t roll very easily which is great for sturdiness but scraping up my floors

Great little stool
Just set this stool up. I bought it to use instead of a chair for my sewing - super easy to assemble and the seat is not too soft but still comfy.

Worth buying
Good packaging.Perfect assembly guide with all part fitting as required.Perfect jack for height adjustment.Excellant crome finish for stand. But Diameter of seat is 15 inch which I found should have been 12 inch.for just seat & get up. Seat has nice black leather covering. As it has castore roller one needs caution to seat over it. Worth buying.

Could be better but not bad
Not sure how long the pleather on the seat will last but otherwise it seems decent. I immediately upgraded the wheels to roller blade style ones and I couldn't be happier now.
