Perfect outside extension cable!
Had some initial reservations about ordering Amazon basics and those were quickly dispelled when I received the extension cable! Excellent quality and manufacture! Heavy, weatherproof insulation and connectors! The perfect outside extension cable at a very affordable price! And yes, I immediately bought a second one!

50/50. One lit up and the other one didn't. At first...
First thing out of the package, I plugged them in to make sure they were working properly. One lit up fine and the other did not. I was all ready to leave a poor review. But I wanted to see if it was carrying electricity even though it was not lighting up. The two spent the night in a very cold garage. I left the working one plugged in the entire time to see if the light remained lit, and it was still lit when I went out to test them. I brought my work light along with me so I could test for power on the dead one. When I plugged the cable into the outlet, all of a sudden, it was now lit. Hmm, curious. So I have since brought them inside and plugged them both in again in the warmth of the house. And I am waiting for them to warm up and see if they both continue working. They seem to be of good construction and a nice heavy gauge cable to carry lots of juice. This makes them rather stiff, but that is the nature of the 12AWG beast. The wire should be fine for running some high wattage and amperage through it. My concern would be in the molded plug ends. Lo and behold, as I was writing this review, I went in and checked them and the indicator light on the one was again not illuminated. I plugged a light into it and the indicator light lit up again. But when I pulled the light out it stopped working again. If I placed the light plug partially in the socket it would power it but the power indicator in the cord would not light up until I pushed it all the way into the socket. So far I experienced an intermittent indicator light malfunction which means for faulty wiring in the ends. They are molded for weather purposes and there is nothing you can do about them having problems like these as you cannot get to the connections to do any repairs. So, in conclusion, if these things are going to fail in a high current situation, I would expect the plug ends to fail. Specifically the end with the light in it as that is what is showing signs of faulty wiring out of the box. I would expect it to melt and hopefully fail completely before becoming a fire hazard. My star rating has been jumping up and down during this review. But I have settled on the one I am finally leaving. I have placed a power usage monitor on a sump pump plug to monitor the energy I'm using when it runs, as it seems to go off quite a bit. Now that it is Winter it has slowed down since everything outside is frozen. The monitor would go black on me in that setup from two separate monitor units, but they work fine everywhere else. Where they do work there is always a draw of electricity of a watt or so when the device plugged into it is idling. The sump pump does not do this. It goes to zero for up to an hour or even more between cycles. I figured that the power consumption monitor might be shutting down seeing that there is no usage in monitor. These lighted cables would have a constant low power draw to light the indicator and I thought this may cure the problem, keeping the power monitor alive. But if the indicator light isn't lit, then it defeats the purpose. From my experience, I have no choice but to give this a low rating as for a brand new item it should work flawlessly. It is as if they were failed quality inspection items that are being sold as-is for a lower cost. My warning would be to make sure they are working properly before connecting them to and high current conditions.

Female end is a bit large
I use this with my lawn mower, and weed whacker. I like that it's a heavy enough gauge to use with the mower, and 75 ft is the perfect length for my lawn. The one downside was that the female end was too wide to fit inside the plugs of both my weed whacker and lawnmower. There is a small ridge around the plug, and I ended up using a mini hack saw to shave that off by the ground. Then just filed it a bit to smooth it out. Not the safest thing in the world, but it was only a couple mm of material I removed, and it's by the ground, and it's an extension cord I only have plugged in while I'm actively using it, the risk is small.

Disappointing quality control.
2021-05-20: Just received the package of two cord sets today as promised. I'm disappointed. The description states the female end is lighted. That is a feature I wanted. Unfortunately, the light is intermittent in one of the two sets. The light goes on and off when a male end is plugged in and wiggled. I don't want to go to the trouble of returning it. Besides, I need to use the cord now in a project. I'm going to call Amazon and see what they are willing to do to resolve the issue. 2021-06-07: Amazon made the replacement easy. They sent out a replacement pair. I'm so pleased with the cords given the price, that I ordered two additional pairs for another project. I upgraded my rating form 2 stars to 4 stars.

Just what I needed.
I have a sunroom that was added on before I bought my house and the electrical outlet in the sunroom is an outdoor outlet with the covers that slap over them when not in use. I ordered a smart plug to turn off my water distiller before it could burn the residue onto the bottom (I run this in the sun room in the summer so I don't heat up the house). The smart outlet wouldn't fit in the outdoor outlet due to size of the device and the cover on the outlet. I didn't want a bunch of cord laying around and this did the trick. I'm sure I'll find a use for the second one sooner or later.

Quality, doesn't tangle, does the job
I really love this cord. I thought it was a bit high-priced when I bought it to plug in a dehumidifier. But I am just so impressed at the ease of which this cord handles the unit. Also, the cord doesn't get all tangled up. It just feels smooth all the time. I REALLY appreciate that. Perhaps it is because of the thickness or quality of the wiring, but in any event I've not had even a single problem keeping this in line. Very quality!

Great heavy duty extension cord
I use this to "plug in" my wired shop which is about 65 feet from my house. It handles a couple of overhead lights, a fan in the summer, a space heater in the winter, and a large power tool used intermittently (radial arm saw, drill press, circular saw, etc.) with no problem. My sole complaint is that I left it out for a few days in the sun and it faded very badly. Wish they made a green one - I'd leave it out all the time and save myself the trouble of reeling it in every night.

Good quality
This is an excellent extension cord. Nice and thick and heavy duty. The lighted end lets you know the power is on. I use it for a lawnmower and a leaf blower, and it works fine. It is able to be used outside and in damp conditions. It is a little heavier than the thinner cords but puts less stress on the machines. I have no problem dragging it around with me. It was also much less expensive than similar ones at the big box stores.

Great value and functions well with multiple power tools connected
I needed a thicker gauge wire to run a LED work lamp, table saw and workshop vacuum at once. I found that this cord worked well to do so and was the right length as well. Connections are solid and sockets are secure when plugged in with an indicator light to let you know when the cord is plugged to a power source.

best deal on an extension cord ever
I purchased the cheapest on sale 12/3 all copper extension cord I could find that was the length I needed for my wind turbine . when I cut it open to my surprise it was a 10/3 I cant say how good a deal this was I payed 50 dollars for a 75 ' 10 /3 all copper outdoor extension cord . the copper is nice and soft thin strand OFC . not sure if my order was a mix up or what but I am very happy

It's yellow - It's stout - It just works!
I needed several 12-3 short extension cords and found this on Amazon. Upon receipt of this product I could tell this extension cord was a winner. Both ends are over molded with clear plastic and have nice ribbing to grasp. One thing that I really liked about this 12-3 cord is that the maker placed the LED on the opposite side of the cord set. Normally a lit plug will have the male side with the light where you insert it into the power outlet. This cord set has the opposite end lit so if you happen to be a hundred feet away plugging this into another extension cord you will be able to see and know there is power in place - awesome! The manufacture indicates the cord set is weather rated but doesn't offer a temperature range anywhere in the Amazon listing. I guess I'll find out this winter upon grabbing it from the outside while it sits on the ground during -40'C! Overall this cord set at the selling price of $ 13.33 for two was a good value.
