This is the one... HAS WIDE PULL OUT THE BACK CRUMB TRAY
Saw a review that says no crumb tray - WRONG! Has wide pull out the back crumb tray with no holes, unlike the Big Lots that has to be turned over, and has holes. Have had this toaster just over a month, and used/use it daily for 2 slices, twice a day in many cases, for white now whole wheat bread - set on 3 - I like dark toast. It toasts both sides of both slots very well. If you get one and it doesn't, just get another from Amazon, and return the bad one. Prior to ordering it I bought one from Best Buy, and one from Big Lots. Walmart had none like this available, and I wanted a toaster fast (heard that toasted bread is easier to digest). Anyway, I saw bad reviews on this Amazon one, but since Best Buy return policy was only 15 days, and the one from Big Lots was 30, I decided I was protected all around by Amazon Basics coverage for a year even if it dies after 30 days (as I understand it). After comparing all 3 physically, (did not plug in those others) including cord, length of slots, wide slide out crumb tray, and controls, the Amazon Basics is better, and looks better inside - I am an IT problem solver, evaluator. I actually love this toaster! Don't see how you could go wrong since Amazon fixes any problem (has been my experience). Since I have taken time on this, if it dies, I'll try to get back and update this.

works well, but doesn't catch crumbs
I like the bagel option, and the wide slots. Temperature control seems correct. But a serious deficiency is the crumb catcher on the underside. It doesn't work well. The counter where we use it always has crumbs all over it. You shake the toaster gently and the counter is covered with crumbs. We keep it with a metal tray underneath.

Super light weight, toasts evenly
There is no crumb tray so you have to shake out the whole toaster every time you use it. Works well but you must press firmly to lock the lever into place to toast. It us hard to see what setting you’re on because there is no contrasting color to indicate, I used a silver sharpie to high light the line on the knob. Very light weight & toasts evenly, I bought a second one for my RV.

Very good overall, with one quibble
This is much better than my alternatives of a toaster-r-oven or a skillet. I especially like the bagel option. My quibble is that sometimes I have to depress the lever several times before it catches. This occurred the first time when I tried to follow the Before First Use instructions to run the toaster through several cycles without anything in the slots. The lever wouldn't stay down, and I wondered if the toaster was defective. Even with something in the slots, the lever doesn't always catch on the first attempt when depressed. One principle of good design is to avoid making users think that a device is broken when it's not.

A toaster that toasts well!
My old toaster died and I needed a new. I paid a lot for that old one. I didn’t pay a lot for this one. I don’t know why I paid so much for my old one when this one takes care of business with no fuss and no frills. The spring in the activation lever nice and stiff without being difficult. You know when you’re pushing down and you feel the satisfying click when you’re there without feeling like you have to force it down. The one downside to this particular toaster is the legibility of the controls. I have difficulty seeing what the temperature control setting is without getting close up to it. The position indicator really needs to either be larger or highlighted with a different color to be more visible. Similarly, the text beside the “Frozen” and “Bagel” buttons is difficult to read. I know which is which from using it enough times but getting there required a bit of time.
