Metal clamp bent and broke

Metal ring broke due to dragging a small deer weight about 140lbs just like the other people said in the reviews. I bought me a D-ring kit as a backup and is better and stronger than the ring that comes with. I highly recommend anyone purchasing this product to do the same by purchasing some low price D ring. Last thing you want is for the factory ring to break in half while dragging a deer in the woods or field. Look at my pic as an example.

D ring failed

Was super excited about the wide straps but my husband used it one time and the D-ring on the back, where you attach everything to pull, failed. We returned it and will look for something else.

OK once you figure it out if it fits you

So this is a great idea but not executed overly well. Putting this thing on is not an easy deal, especially if it is dark and you are in the woods. When you receive it, PUT IT ON in the comfort and warmth of your house! Then get a Sharpie and mark it LEFT and RIGHT on front of the shoulder pieces. I found it easiest to put on if you do the shoulder straps FIRST. Three comments: 1. If you're pulling a really big deer I'm not sure this will hold up. Seems a bit flimsy. I've never pulled anything bigger than 150 lbs. 2. It seems that it was sized without considering that often when you are hunting you have lots of extra layers. I am 5'10" 190 lbs and it is snug when I have my hunting gear on 3. Be aware that the "waist" strap is really a "just under the chest" strap. If you are thinking of pulling a deer with your backpack on, the pulling rope will be in the small of your back and it will interfere with your backpack fitting properly. Also- come on folks. Put a loop in the end of the drag rope. Pass the rope THROUGH the loop you've tied to make a second , larger loop. Now, slide your larger loop OVER THE ANTLERS FIRST, then the head. Yes, you're going to end up with blood on your hands probably. Hey, after all, you ARE a hunter, right?

What a strap

If you're looking for the greatest deluxe two shoulder strap deer drag system ever created you can stop reading now. Wait--I think I mean keep reading so you can read how awesome this is. People, this is a strap - and it goes over your shoulders. And you can drag s***. Not just deer either - I've never bagged myself a deer. I used it to drag other stuff around my yard. Like rocks. And boulders. And other stuff men drag around. Never failed me once. If there is something in my yard that needs to get drug around this is the first and only strap I think about. Did I mention it's orange? Because it is. It sort of looks like the strap that the safety's from elementary school would wear who told you to keep your foot out of the aisle - the difference? YOU DRAG STUFF WITH THIS. I can't verify this - but pretty sure I could draft a truck with this bad boy. At the very least my lawn mower if it go stuck in the pond again. This is a MUST HAVE for any man's toolbox. Pretty much 80% of my problems are solved right after I say, "Get the strap." Problem solved. Get one. You won't regret it.

Works great!

Worked wonderful! Way better than any expensive cart or wagon that we've bought! Used to pull a deer out of woods.

The pull ring is weak..but you can tie a drag rope to the harness in the same place

Works very well once I tied the drag rope to the harness after the ring broke. Makes dragging deer out of woods a lot easier

Fit is a bit off no matter how you adjust it

I've had troubles with the fitting of this product, it pulls the sled not to bad, but with my backpack on it not good at all, I have went back to the backpack harness for winter camping..

I wouldn't buy this again

The attachment ring broke in the first few seconds of being used. The harness is really small. I am 6 feet 190lbs. And this barely fits me. I had an older version of this that was 10 times the product. Don't waste your money.

Works great!

Makes dragging a deer or elk quarter so much easier. Never go hunting without one. Bring a spare for your hunting partner too. These work great!

Saves my shoulders!

Actually use it to haul my grandkids on toboggan/wagon. Saves my shoulder and i can walk so much further than just using a wagon handle or toboggan rope.
