Comfy but verdict is still out
Though these shoes seem comfortable, I am a little disappointed in the color of the shoe. I ordered cognac, in which Aldo usually classifies and produces a light brown color. This shoe is brown or on the darker side. Not bad, but I expected something lighter. Overall, good performing shoe and order a side down!

Snazzy and sort of old school-looking
These Aldo brand loafers (er, excuse me, moccasins) manage to blend together classy and casual better than any shoe than I think I've ever seen before! The band that goes over the mid-top somehow gives me 50s dad vibes (no clue if any shoes actually looked like this back then, but it's the general design aesthetic of that band), and wearing them I almost feel like I should get a pipe to complete the look. Swanky! The peculiar thing about these shoes is that when you first look at their shape you figure that, if anything, it would be tight around the heel as it appears to narrow in the back. But when you put it on, you discover it's more snug in the front and looser in the back somehow. And you want to know the *really* peculiar thing? It doesn't matter at all, it's almost like the tautness near the toes and the more slack ankle & heel cancel each other out and you end up being comfortable somehow (the fit in any case isn't really that bad, just something odd you might notice at first before breaking them in or getting used to it). True-to-size and comfortable, with a classy look and friendly old-timey Dad vibes, what's not to like?

These loafers look like they are not sure if they want to be dress shoes or slippers but...I'm here for it...they are SO comfortable! They fit true to size...a little long in the front, but not enough for them to fit awkwardly or anything like that. That does not personally bother me but mentioning it as a general point about these shoes. They work well with shorts or jeans/dress pants...not sure I would wear them with something more formal than that, though. The design itself is nice - they look and feel expensive. The soles are not too thick, not too thin...so they do look like a true loafer. They slip on easily and fit true to size. You can wear them without socks but I wouldn't - a liner style sock works well with it though. They are comfortable enough to wear all day wherever you decide to wear them. Overall, these are nice "everyday" shoes that are comfortable, well made, and look great on. I recommend them!

Comfortable and stylish driving shoes
Overall, these are not bad shoes. they Overall, these are not bad shoes. The shoes have a modern, stylish look. They can be worn with jeans or slacks and still look good. The soles of the shoes run high across the back. This is similar to some driving shoes that are meant to limit scuffing on the back of the shoe when driving. The shoes are comfortable - no issues wearing these all day. If you are planning to wear these shoes without socks, you may want to get one size lower than you usually wear. At $120 MSRP it’s a stretch. At $90 MSRP it’s worth a look.

Lightweight and elegant!
Aldo shoes used to be so front and center at Macy's that I thought they were the store brand. Whether that was ever true, they are certainly an independent brand now. These leather loafers are lightweight, flexible, and comfortable, and they run true to size. Light as they are they are not designed for extensive street wear, but will make excellent driving shoes. I can't wait to get my feet on the three pedals inside them! Other leisure activities will suggest themselves according to the tastes and resources of the wearer. Bon plaisir.

Look great, but some issues
First, let me say that these shoes look very nice, and I wish I could keep them. Sadly, they just don't fit. These definitely run too big. The fact that they're loafers makes that all the worse, since there are no laces to tighten. It seems Aldo shoes just tend to run big, but the loafers even more so. Another problem I have with these is they're off. If you look at the picture I took of them on, you can see the right shoe is a different shape than the left shoe (front right corner of the right shoe is different than the front left of the left shoe). This is...grating. I'm not sure how often I'd be looking down at them, or how noticeable it would be when somebody else is looking at them, but I'd expect better at this price point. 3 out of 5 is the best I can give this as a result.

Amazingly comfortable
These are so comfortable And soft I got a 1/2 size too small but they still fit really well and the fact that they're leather they'll stretch very easily. My husband loves them And he loves the quality of them.
