A No-Brainer for any Ameritrash Terminator fan!
I’m just a casual fan of the Terminator series, but this deckbuilder does a good job with the genre, is often sold at an inexpensive price, and you don’t have to see the movie it’s based on. Perfect as a gift for any Ameritrash player. However, its fixed set of cards makes it have less replayability than other deckbuilders which start with subset of cards from the main set (eg. Dominion). And, of course, during the Terminator movies, you didn’t have a sense of deckbuilding! But, while the first half of a player’s turn feels like deckbuilding from another game (buy stuff from the reserve, use attack cards to remove hostile cards from the reserve), the second half is more Terminator-like. You’re either adding more cards to the reserve area from the main deck (sort of like the supply deck where new cards come out) and pushing your luck because the Terminator *is* in the top several cards of the deck, or fleeing from the Terminator (shuffling it back into the top cards of the deck — and it heals to full when it comes back!), or hoping the Terminator doesn’t fill your discard pile with wound cards when it attacks! Eventually, you will fill your deck with many points of damage, play them all on the Terminator — and only stagger him, just like the movies! You will then have to play a card which actually destroys him, typically playable only when in his staggered state. Like too many Ameritrash games, I found the rulebook not particularly intuitive in its presentation of the mechanics, so read or watch some reviews explaining gameplay first. Also, play a solo game to get the rules down. You’ll be back!

Terminator? I barely knew her
Just a clean, quick, easy to learn deckbuilder with some cool villain mechanics.

How do you like that? A game that claims to last 30 min...And Does!!!!
Just when I was starting to wonder how long the dance could continue...boom! Terminator destroyed! Peeked at the upcoming cards and... Yeah if I didn't destroy him soon, things were about to get ugly. But I'm getting ahead of myself. So... What can I say about this game? It's like Xenoshyft or Agent Decker, but simpler and more random. You're almost constantly shuffling the Terminator back into the top cards of the deck, it would be pretty easy to get killed on higher difficulties, there's a push-your-luck/punishment aspect (drawing fate cards could bring the Terminator, but if he's summoned and DOESNT activate bad stuff, he's trashing cards that could help you). Card art is ok (mediocre movie stills). Cards are cheap but durable (not thin). Characters, abilities, skills, weapons, all pretty thematic. Need for optimization and cooperation is strong in this one and there's plenty of cards designed to encourage that (cards that let you play them on someone else's turn, etc.). While Agent Decker is better (esp solo) and Xenoshyft has more of a "Hold the line!" and "big store" feel, this game manages to feel more "classic" and "old school" because the simple attack and purchase values harken to Clank! without tokens or map, and Dominion if it were co-op brawl and you could get killed. Clearly the designers didn't just dial it in. There's solo mode, multiple difficulties, variants, a BIG fate deck, and a nice variety of cards. If you wish Villainous was co-op without the board, or Dominion was a co-op battle to the death, this might be a good one to try. The downside is it's VERY random and could end real fast one way or another. This game is a great value. It cost me $10, comes with plastic jewel damage tokens, understandable rules written competently, and the whole shebang comes in a box with a nice cover and a magnetic clasp. I f you would rather fight each other get Arctic Scavengers. If you would rather play alone and hide than fight print out a copy of Agent Decker. If you're a Terminator fan and like simple deck builders (and co-op)... Get it.

Quality product to kill time.
Fun way to melt the hours of winter away, with. It's almost like a multi-player solitaire (you can play it solo, which is great as well). I desperately needed a means of occupying the brain as unemployment drags on longer than I ever thought possible, and bad habits creeping back into the mind. While it takes a few rounds to get it down and run smooth (I can't recommend watching a few YouTube videos where they go through a few rounds, enough. It really clears up some of the "huhhh?" Parts well) once it takes off, it's highly addictive. Dont need to be a super fan of the series to take a delight in it, though it certainly doesn't hurt, and almost guarantees you'll find enjoyment in it. Buddy and I, didn't even stop to eat once we got a hang of it, and suddenly the birds were chirping and light filtering through the blinds. Oops. Haven't done that with a game of any sorts in a decade or so. Very pleased, certainly recommend if you were curious about it, then you probably have enough interest in the franchise that this will be a decadent delight.

Great little card game
This was a welcome surprise. I honestly had low expectations for a game themed to the worst Terminator movie in the series, imho. + Easy to learn. + There is some asymmetry with the character/hero the player chooses + There is a sense of tension with the game that is relentless like a terminator chasing you is. + Small package is easy to put in a bag/backpack and share with friends or play at the coffee shop table (now that things are opening up again). OVERALL: My 20-something son and I played one game, then played three more games immediately after. Great 'filler' to warm things up before the hefty games come out or a game you can play while enjoying your beer, pretzels, and socializing.

A true gem
A fantastic deck builder. The Terminator mechanic of taking damage, destroying your resources, then you have to choose whether to stay and fight or run works great. Hope they make expansions for the other movies.

Great Quality
This card game is from River Horse Games. It looks like a lot of thought went into this product. I like that the card game box has a flip open lid with magnets built into it.

Under-rated deck builder game. This is a fun deck builder game for the price.
