The best in class
I have depended on this as a way to rehab ankle problems through the years. I tried an off brand because I need something right away. Ended up buying this replacement when the cheapie failed. I 100% recommend this for ankle rehab.

Good support for a sprain - with caveats
Good support for a sprain but not particularly comfortable to wear. They would do better in a sports shoe than in a dressy shoe. Unlike in the illustration, wearers are advised to wear absorbent socks under the brace. The air sacs are plastic so skin immediately against them can't breathe. Amount of air in sac is adjustable (read directions, and don't lose the inflation/deflation tube that's included but not attached) but it may take experimentation (and time!) to find the right adjustment to fit comfortably. Shouldn't be worn in airplanes due to air pressure change affecting the sac size, but it would be awkward to have to put on and off to hurry through an airport ... and what to do with it if you aren't wearing it onboard?! They're designed and marked for left or right but seem to be interchangeable if you adjust the stirrup appropriately and adjust air pressure in the sacs accordingly.

Really help with sprained ankles
These are the best supports ever for a sprained ankle, in my opinion. They give a lot of support and don't allow your ankle to bend side to side. I have very weak ankles and get frequent sprains. I started wearing these to play pickleball and feel much safer and have been injury free. I travel a lot and never leave home without a pair of these in my suitcase. Many years ago, an orthopedic doctor gave me a pair, when I had a very painful sprain. I have been using them ever since. This was a replacement for one that finally was wearing out.

Good support But...
Only 3 stars because plastic air cell/foam is very weakly attached with inferior glue to the rigid support and you're going to have to epoxy them in place after a couple weeks use. Also will need to replace mid strap with foot diagram on it with your own 1" wide velcro strap soon. That said, you need a stirrup design like this for anything above grade 1 sprain, mainly because the support goes a lot higher up leg and that helps a lot, even if you think the problem is just around the ankle knobs. Everything is connected. Especially if the surfaces you must walk on on all day are uneven/rough. So get the large which is tallest. Around the ankle knobs all sizes fit the same. After mostly healed or maybe for indoor flat floors you can get by with something lower down like maybe the Aircast airsupport which can be taken on and off much faster and more comfortable/cooler but is right/left dependent. This stirrup model is interchangeable right/left foot despite what aircast says. Can just switch stirrups around. Addressed this in the questions section.

Design does not appear to support instructions - don't buy nonreturnable devices online
Like: looked good in product picture online; appeared to promise what I needed, which was adjustability as to inflation of side panels. Dislike: can't use what's supposed to support inflatability feature because it is sealed shut and does not appear to be meant to open. Also, product feels flimsier than it looks in the online picture - but that may be because it's meant to be inflated more.Anyway, this is the last "device" I buy online. Buy local so you can examine it first. Guess I'll just toss this.

Velcro straps are too short
Velcro straps are too short. The top strap barely reaches all the way around my calf. I purchased the 10" and expected the straps to be long enough for an adult calf.

Perfect to wear with boots!
I can wear this in my boots and football cleats just fine. It doesn't feel too bulky, and you can adjust it to allow no flex or some flex which is nice. Now that my ankle is mostly healed up, I can fit it a bit looser to allow more natural movement, but yet still have support if my ankle wants to roll over again.

It's good for a sprain or almost healed broken ankle
The heal part is adjustable and there's a air hose to inflate the air pockets for extra support around the ankle. I ordered a large and wish I'd gotten bigger. If you have large ankles and calves I'd suggest either an extra large or different type of aircraft.

Easy to use.
I have drop-foot and associated weakness in my ankle from nerve damage. I have worn this kind of brace for 35 years. It is the best brace for my needs.

Adjust. Move things so they fit with no pressure points.
Great does the job once adjusted.

Gets the job done...
This is designed for very a specific thing, torn ligaments. It does not replace a cast and that is why I have no complaints with this product; except for one. The size chart is hard to make out, and personally, I feel like I received a size smaller than what I should have bought. But it still got the job done.
