Modern Small form factor old work recessed cans
I bought these for a home renovation and installed them myself. Pretty easy to install, and wire. My only gripe is the knockouts, I was unsure of the size and where a plastic or metal clamp would be required and could not find the information anywhere. I think I went with a 0.75" metal knockout for it and it worked well enough but would have been nice if wire clamps were included. I also got the version with the LEDs so they do not generate much heat and are IC rated. I did have one light bulb start flicking almost immediately, luckily I bought on extra unit and replaced the bulb with no issues since. They have been installed for a few months now on Lutron wi-fi dimmable switches.

These lights when in extremely easily and wiring was a breeze
I have never installed lights or done much electrical work in the house. I prefer leaving that to the pros. With the purchase of the new house and getting the theater room put together, I simply could not afford the quotes I was getting ($200 per light to install). These lights when in extremely easily and wiring was a breeze. Mine went in to the attic which makes life easier. Some advice for those home DIYers. 1. The hole saw that you can get with this needs an arbor. You might as well purchase that too if you don't already have one. 2. Purchase a cheap 2x2 piece of drywall from the big box store. Practice cutting holes on that until you are comfortable cutting into your ceiling. I found dropping the speed down on my cordless drill forced me to go at the right speed. 3. Double and triple check studs and cross beams in your ceiling. I ran into 3 issues when I mapped out the room. 2 are easily fixed with putty. The other needs a contractor to fix. 4. You may need a dimmer switch because these are bright. Make sure you get a dimmer rated for LEDs.

Save Money & Buy the Globe Electric Model 90542 Instead!
I bought the Globe Electric 90735 specifically because they were Insulated Contact (IC) rated. At $119.99 for 4 (purchased 2/2016) they are very pricey as compared to the non-IC ratedGlobe Electric 90542 4 inch Recessed Lighting Kit, Swivel, Brushed Nickel Finish, Spot Light, Contractor's 10 Pack (10 for $113.99). I've been reading that the cheaper Globe Electric 90542 are IC rated if used with LED bulbs. I emailed Globe Electric customer support and to my surprise model 90542 are IC rated when used in conjunction with an LED build (see picture of email). So bought both the 90735 and 90542 and noticed that they look absolutely identical except for one distinction. 1. The model 90542 does not come with a bulb. Not a big deal considering the price. All Globe Electric recessed lighting have a small integrated cut-off switch that ensures the fixture will not overheat and thus safe to install with insulation (see photo). The model 90735 costs about $30 per fixture while the model 90542 is $11.40 per fixture. Other than not coming with a bulb, the 90542 is a much better value and is IC rated when you buy your own LED bulb (about $5 at Amazon). Otherwise, the two fixtures look identical. The lights themselves are great, easy to install, can swivel in any direction, and the nickel finish gives a stylish appearance. The provided LED lights are incredibly bright. As other reviewers mentioned these lights are slightly smaller than the standard 4" recessed can so you'll need a slightly smaller hole saw. I got the 3-7/8-Inch MK Morse (MK Morse AV62 Hole Saw, 3-7/8-Inch Bi-Metal Boxed ). Bottom line, get the Globe Electric 90542 instead and buy your own bulb, and save yourself a ton of money!

The ability to tilt the light makes it perfect for illuminating the shower
I bought these LED recessed lights for a bathroom renovation and was concerned about the amount of light they would provide and of course their appearance. We had an electrician install 3 lights - took him no time at all. Thirty minutes tops including removing the old light fixture and cutting holes in ceiling, etc. We had two lights installed over the sink/vanity and one centered just outside the shower. The ability to tilt the light makes it perfect for illuminating the shower. The bathroom is 5 X 10 and three lights provide the perfect amount of light. We also had a dimmer installed and they work very well with dimmer - no noise, flickering, etc. Turned all the way down they make a perfect as night light for guests. The brushed nickel finish is excellent. We are renovating the master bath next and have purchased more of these lights for that bathroom as well.

Cheap and easy.
Installed four of these in a square pattern in my kitchen. At first used a standard switch but the combined 200 watts was a bit bright, and I wanted to be able to leave these dimmed in the evening instead of burning $$ with the halogen under cabinet puck lights. Used the Lutron C-L and it works perfectly. No "buzzing" at all, and the range is from full to barely able to see that they are on. I would recommend the both of them. And a 3 3/4 inch hole saw works perfectly, though it says 3 7/8.

Not the best design if you have to adjust the position of the light
Nice lights - bright and small enough to fit in roof rafters. Only issue was when I moved one of the 16 installed lights and blew the GCFI fuse since the hot black wire was cut and contacted the metal casing. The wires are run through a metal tube to go from the can part to the junction box. Only problem is the tube edges are sharp and cut through the black wire. Bad combination of easily cut heat resistant insulation on wires and sharp metal edge means high probability of a short if you adjust the light fixture position after installation. Need to be very gentle.

Amazon made mistake
As an interior designer who does many lighting designs I have used these lights for clients and in my own home. They are easy to install and give off a nice arch of light and are dimmable which is a bonus. Note* use a universal dimmer with them. The 3 star rating is because... Amazon sent me item 90440 which is NOT IC RATED when I ordered item 90733 which is IC Rated! When setting out the lighting design yesterday 1/26/18 my electrician showed me they were not IC rating yet my order slip showed 90733. Too late to get the correct ones in time now creating more work for electrician which means more time & $ to me. Argh! Check, & double check.

I knew I was buying “used” items but there’s used and there’s used :( many scratches and dents..most light bulbs don’t work. :(
