Multipurpose sand sponge

I use this for cleaning. You can scrape off the limestone residue from hard water by scrabbling with this sponge. It works well. But as you use, it gradually wear off. So you will need multiple.

Easy to to use for light sanding projects

What I liked about this product it that it's an "all in one" sander, meaning that the sandpaper is built into the sandpaper sponge itself. The product is not soft like a sponge; it's a hard substance that easily is used on small areas in the house that need sanding. I've tried products where you separately buy the sandpaper and attach it to a handheld sander. When i've used those in the past, the sandpaper inevitably tears and loosens away from the handheld item. This sponge product doesn't have that issue as the sandpaper is built into the product itself

Shouldn’t have to guess about grit…

3M should be able to do much better. Do you want to redo a job because the finish doesn’t adhere long term? You shouldn’t have to guess at the grit. 320 is too fine for many woods and finishes. 150 is rougher than desirable. Second, 3M should be able to label at least one side of the brick/sponge. They manage to print the 3M name but nothing else. The cheaper, off brand sponges that I have purchased properly label their products and theIr sponges last just as long.

Nice Design

These are easy to hold, from our 15 year-old daughter on up. They work well, but they do start to fall apart over time, but probably about the same time as normal sandpaper would. At the end of the day, we bought an attachment for our drill and used sanding paper for that. If you have anything large, I recommend that approach.

Love these little things, super easy to use!

I bought these to sand down one of my doors in my house that had gotten to the point where it was rubbing the door jam. It worked great and I’m able to use them in other projects around the house and outside.

Great sanding sponges

These appear to be made of a rough exterior material (as opposed to gluing sand to a sponge) so they don't leave behind grains of grit. Last long and make sanding much easier that a hard block (which too often cuts all the way through the paint to show the primer or base material).

OK but not great

These are advertised as extra fine but feel like about 220 grit. I bought them for sanding primer on a car restoration project but they don't cut as well as as the 3M 320 grit paper that I have been using.

Excellent produit mais le grain n’est pas extra fin selon mes attente…

3M font des excellents produits cependant pour ces pads, le grain dit -extra fin - était plutôt grossier ( 220?) Je m’attendais à un 320 / 420 ! Pas le cas bref, trop rude pour la finition de ma peinture à la craie! Je vais quand même les utiliser pour autre chose!
